Chapter 09

"Put me down, Maverick!" she shouted from his back, wiggling and punching his back. But this guy didn't even flinch. He walks straight to their room and puts her down the bed.

"Now, tell me what your problem is." Maverick said. He was leaning to her, making her lean backwards.

"Move, Maverick. You're invading my personal space," she said instead of answering.

Maverick brow arched. "Invading your personal space, huh? Do you want me to tell you how you cling to me every night in your sleep?" it said.

Her eyes widened. She pushed Maverick off her but it was so hard as stone that it didn't even move a little. "Stop making up stories! I don't do that!" she fired back.

Maverick smirked at her. "Really? How do you know when you're sleeping comfortably in my arms?"

She shook her head. She can't believe what he is saying. Hell! When did she become clingy? No, that's surely a lie. He just made those to tease her, she told herself.
