Eloise dragged herself out of the room barefooted after washing her face, her hair tousled like she just rolled out of the bed. She scratches the back of her neck and yawns, her throat feeling dry so she headed to the kitchen.

Her mind remembered how embarrassing the previous night was and how she'd run straight to the room and pulled the duvet over her body.

‘ How could he say that? He's such a perv,’ she'd said in her mind with her face all red. She knows a gentleman could have found a better way to let her know without making her feel embarrassed or just look away, say nothing, and leave. But Antonio was no gentleman.

She rolled her eyes as she stepped into the kitchen and nearly jumped.

A little startled, she hadn't expected to bump into him that early morning. But there he was, backing her, a glass cup of water on his lips. Shirtless.

He was such a morning beauty.

From behind, his wide shoulders and powerful back are a breathtaking display of male beauty. The muscles alon

Antonio dusted his shirt after dropping the third round of cartons while he turned around to head back to the storage. His face twisted with disdain at his dirtied shirt. He looked up just then to see Eloise struggling to carry two cartons as she staggered back and forth. “ Who gave you two cartons?” He flared up, dashing towards her and snatching them away from her slender arm. She exhaled in relief but Antonio’s gaze was blazing. “ I asked you who gave you two cartons?” “ Huh? Ugh, I carried it myself,” “ Don't you dare lie to me,” he glared behind her and made to dash towards that dusty man handing the cartons over to other volunteers but Eloise quickly grabbed his arm. “ No, please don't, I promise, only one carton,” “ No, no more cartons,” he retorted, looking at her dusty hair and dirty shirt. Even looking at her like this pisses him off. He angrily dropped the cartons, causing Eloise’s chest to jump in fright, afraid he was about to cause a scene, but what he

“ How-how do you know about this?” Eloise asked, amused as she read through the file handed to her, “This is a classified file,” “ How I know doesn't matter; what matters is what we're going to do about it,” Antonio replied, leaning forward on the couch beside her. She closed the file and exhaled, “ Angelito doesn't deal with other corporations,” she shook her head, “ there's no way Mason would get this deal, not to mention us snatching it from him.” “ Even if we have what they want?” She furrowed her brow, “ What do they want?” “ Currently, Angelito is planning to expand, to launch branches, but they're landlocked, and not partnering with anyone makes it limited by government---red taped,” “ So they need land,” “ Not just land, they lack manpower for a rapid construction project, and that—we have.” “ And if we wrap it in a 90-day rollout plan and political clearance? Irresistible,” she beamed, “ We should get a proposal ready then,” “ It is, whenever you're ready…,” “ Let

“Arghh,” Eloise groaned and strongly rubbed her palm against her face. Her spoon hovered above the soup prepared for her, but she had no appetite. She couldn't get that look off her head. That look that says a thousand. “ I did something, but what? Why would he not tell me,” her face wrinkled with worries and fear. The more she forced herself to remember something, even if it's just a little bit, the more headaches she had. As if it didn't want her to recollect anything. “ I didn't actually break his car, right?” She jumped to her feet and hurriedly went out. She checked the cars and heaved a sigh of relief. There was no single scratch on any of them. She placed her palm on her chest. Glad she didn't do the most dangerous thing of all. ‘ Or was it the utensils that I broke?’ She hurriedly went back inside again, checking through the bar to see if it was wine or other things that she ruined, but nothing was out of place, and nothing looked broken. Eloise collapsed back on the ch

The smell of freshly brewed coffee filled the kitchen, curling into the stillness of the morning. Antonio leaned against the counter, sleeves rolled to the forearms, one hand absent mindedly stirring the steaming mug in front of him.At the other side of the dining table sat a small tray with a glass of water, painkillers, and a bowl of warm soup. A hangover was unpleasant, but there's no way Elosie would be escaping it so she would need it.He scoffed realizing she was still sleeping when he couldn't get a wink of sleep. Not because of work or another threat brewing from his uncle, but because every time he closed his eyes, he saw her. Felt her. Heard her. That moan. God, that moan.It had lodged in his head, a sound that snapped every restraint he's been summoning since she moved into his house and wore his shirt. The sound that was soft, breathless, sinful. The kind of sound that made a man forget his name. He could still hear it echoing in his skull, feel it shiver through his bon

“Mm…” She rested her chin on his chest, grinning wickedly. “If you kiss me, I’ll be in trouble too. But you won’t… because....Antonio doesn’t like to kiss.”Antonio’s jaw flexed. “I told you—there’s an exception.”Her smile widened. “Will you kiss me then?”He swallowed, voice dropping. “You have no idea.”“Hm? What did you say?”“Nothing.”She sucked her teeth, pouting. “Always nothing. Always. That’s why I don’t like you.” She gave his cheek a light slap. “I don’t like when I can’t tell what you’re thinking… or what you really mean.”He smirked. “Do you want to know that much?”Eloise nodded lazily, her eyes closing. She was stepping onto the last step when she stumbled but he caught her, her body crashing against his in a way that made his breath hitch, and his heart pounding. She turned her head to look at him, lashes blinking slowly, their eyes locking like neither of them could break away. The air was still. Only their breathing and the thud of his heartbeat filled the silence.

“ Sir, sir,” Tedros paused before calling louder, “ Sir.” Mason flinched. He turned to look at the three men seated on the sofa next to his right side. Their call had jolted him out of his trance and they could see clearly that he was distracted. “ Is everything okay, sir?” Tedros, the new managing director asked. The other two men exchanged a glance; they could guess the reason behind his distraction. In fact, almost every employee in the company would guess that. The news about his divorce had circulated the company, and it's only a matter of time before it reaches the media. There has also been gossip that Eloise would get her company back from him. “ What's it?” Mason's stern voice asked, glaring at them, “ Um,” Tedros didn't know how to start all over again so he went straight to the point, “ The Angelito cooperation refused our proposal, sir,” “ Why? Is the profit share not enough?” “ It's not the profit share, sir; the company is known for not collaborating with
