"What do you mean?" I asked, sizing him up with utmost disgust as he stood before me, clad in a pair of jeans and a white polo T-shirt.

"Mama," he began, darting out his tongue to wet his bottom lip. "The thing is I'm not in love with Lola."

My eyes narrowed into crinkled slits as I drilled holes into his forehead with my molten gaze; bile rose in my throat.

"B," his gruff voice tickled my ears and ran a cold phantom finger down my spine. "You're the one I'm in love with."

The volcano in me erupted and waves of anger wracked through my body. Acting on impulse, I raised my hand in the air and let it fall, striking him in the face with all my might.

"How dare you show up your ugly face to feed me with lies?" I snarled.

The force of the slap tilted his head down and he shut his eyes, tightening his dental bone.

"Babe, give me a chance to explain." He locked gazes with me once again and I couldn't deny that he was pleasant to look at with his white skin deepening to red on his cheek from where I had slapped.

"Get out of my house." I scowled.

He moved closer, but I moved back, feeling a lump in my throat.

"Hear me out." Sheldon gripped my arms softly and I threw punches at him.

"Let me be!" My voice had a familiar shake in it as tears bucketed down my cheeks.

Sheldon pulled me to his chest and wrapped his strong arms around my fragile frame. "Relax, please. Just listen to me. I promise to leave forever if you listen."

I froze, letting my arms fall idly beside our bodies as his arms provided some kind of comfort. With my head pressed against his chest, I listened to his erratic heartbeats.

Maybe I should give him the benefit of the doubt and listen to whatever nonsense he had to say.

"Please," he said quietly and my body vibrated in his arms. "Are you calm now?"

I nodded against his chest and he let me go.

"Can I come in?" He asked and I stepped aside, letting him walk in.

Was I doing the right thing?

I followed him in and shut my door.

"Can I sit?" He pointed at my chair and I furrowed my forehead.

"No, say what it is you have to say and leave. I don't have all night." I answered, wiping my face with my sweater.

"The thing is I'm only with Lola because I'm trying to get a contract with her dad's company." He explained and I stared at him with incredulity.

I let out a small laugh as we stood in the comfort of my royal blue-painted living room. "You must think I'm a fool."

"I'm saying the truth."

"But you gave her a fucking ring and the way you denied me the other day was..." I trailed off, feeling my heart sink into my stomach at the memory. "You're. A. Monster."

"I love you, mama. I got you and me a ticket to Paris for the holidays but-"

He closed the space between our bodies and before I could utter a word, he crashed his lips on mine.

I bit his lip hard and he squirmed, breaking the kiss. I slapped him across the face.

"Get out!" I screamed.

"I can explain-"

"Rape, help!"

He widened his eyes, pushing his eyebrows up.

"What are you doing?"

"Rape!"

He rushed to the door and it didn't stop me from screaming rape. If that would get him away from me, I'd scream it from my rooftop a million times.

****

I walked into the dimly lit club and pushed my way to the bar through dancing pairs.

"Horny motherfuckers." I spat and settled on a barstool.

"What can I get you, ma'am?" The bartender with ginger hair asked and I flitted my gaze past the bottles that were stacked behind him.

Unable to make a choice, I returned my gaze to him and said, "Anything to help me forget."

I swallowed hard, hating myself for giving Sheldon listening ears.

"Pardon?" He broke my reverie and I looked up at him.

"Anything strong." I crisped and he nodded, grabbing a transparent bottle and downing some contents into a shot glass.

I picked it up and gulped the entire contents. The liquid burned its path down my throat and I squeezed my eyes, asking for more.

Gulping down the fifth shot glass, I slammed the cup on the table. "More."

"Aren't you drinking too much?" The bartender asked and I cast an evil eye at him.

"Your job is to shut that pretty boy mouth of yours and give me my request." I tsked and he gave me more.

"Hey, isn't that enough?" A baritone voice spoke from beside me and I turned my head, shooting him a death glare.

When I recognized the face, my lips curved into a smile and I said, "Hey! It's you, puppy love."

I pointed, unable to sit without swaying.

"Hey," a smile graced his lips as he pushed his head back and took a swig of his bottle.

"More!" I raised the shot glass to the bartender and Cole snatched the glass from me. "Give it back!"

"No, you should head home... That's enough for one night." Cole ordered, causing a frown to crease my forehead.

"And you're who?" I stood, swaying as the entire place spun. "My dad?"

I tried to snatch back my cup but I lost balance and almost fell. His hand clutched my wrist and he pulled me, preventing me from falling.

I burped, parting my lips to let out a hysterical laugh. "Do you know what happened?"

Cole steadied me on my feet while paying the bartender for my shots and his drink.

"My boyfriend of two years cheated on me and thought he could get back for some free coochie." I laughed.

"Same thing Lola did to me." He responded.

"And to top it all, she fired me!" I yelled, chuckling and then feeling a void of sadness consuming me. "I was-was played with like a rag doll."

Tears pooled in my eyes.

***

"I hope his dick disappears because he's just a bag of fart, frroomph!" I sang this the entire ride till we arrived at a mansion or was it? I couldn't tell, I couldn't see clearly, everything was double, even Cole's head. What did I drink?

This minute I was crying about Sheldon and the next I was pressed to the wall with Cole driving his tongue into my mouth.

His hands drifted from my arms and gripped my waist. My heart thrummed in my chest.

"Uhm, we shouldn't be doing this." He voiced, breaking the kiss but I didn't care, all I wanted was to satisfy the pulsating need in-between my legs.

I kissed him again; our tongues danced in a fiery twist.

He interlocked our fingers and pushed me to the wall with my hands above my head. He ran his hand down my hips and I shivered.

My hands traced the curves of his chest and ripped his shirt open, sending his buttons to fly in the air.

"Make me forget about him," I whispered over his lilac lips.

He dipped his head and laced his tongue over the skin of my neck, eliciting subtle moans from me.
