Damian’s POV
Stefanos Artemisia, Selyna’s grandfather, is an interesting man. He was not born of Alpha blood, but was the son of his pack’s gamma. He was even larger than the pack’s Alpha, which puzzled everyone until he found his mate in an American girl whose father was the Alpha of Alphas, then things clicked in place. Right now Selyna and I are in his kitchen helping him with dinner…Spanakopita, greek salad and freshly caught fish grilled and served with a lemony herbed sauce. He is talking sweetly with his granddaughter and I am giving them some space. She needs this, they both do.
The giant man is so gentle with my mate, teaching her how he makes recipes passed down from his mother and grandmother back home in Greece and relaying tales of the old country with a smile on his face. It’s a smile that left his face the
Hello, my loves. We have had some freezing cold weather in New England the last several days. I hope you are staying warm wherever you are. I hope you are enjoying my story. There will be at least tow more books in this series, but I will be writing a few others between this one and the second instalment of this series, which will be titled "A Shadow Over Moonlight". I have a spotify playlist with music that inspires my writing, or is mentioned in this book and plan to try to do that for each of my stories. Follow me on IG for updates authorsimonec . As always, reviews and comments, any feedback, really is welcome.
I have decided after long thought not to continue this story as it is currently written...I want to restructure and plan it better. A Hope For Moonlight has a lot of potential, but my writing style and organizational skills have changed much over the years since I started it. With that said, I intend to go over the manuscript and create a more detailed outline that will combine the story as I had originally wanted it to be but will be more focused and better organised, it will better detail the prophecies and continue into the next generation so that we may see the fullfillment of the prophecies. I do not know when I will get around to this as I have a lot on my plate, but it is something I will be starting to look at as soon as I have a few works in progress completed, or near completion. I have many ideas that I would like to better flesh out so that the work flows better and goes off the rails less.Thank you.
Author”s Note: This is long overdue, but I wanted to thank those of you who have read this far and those of you have been patiently awaiting updates. For over a year now my life has been a mess…I lost one Grandmother and with her, my day job, only to have mental health issues for both myself and my children become an issue, along with financial strain and struggling to find work (I still do not have a day job at this time), I am still struggling a lot and my other grandmother also passed away this past autumn. Despite all that is happening I do intend to continue writing, but I have not been feeling the werewolf genre lately. I will continue with sporadic updates as inspiration strikes, but will also be working on developing some ideas that are dancing around in my head into stories. I have been feeling strongly called to bring my LGBTQ+ characters to the forefront. I may in the future write a more in depth story better chronicling Ashe’s story, however, I am not going to gu
Selyna’s POV Luna Luz is a blast! She and I took our baby bumps to the dance floor as soon as we got to the club, letting the guys talk. Yes, I know that technically I am the Alpha, but tonight is not about business. We are up for fun tonight, before getting serious about what we are up against and finalizing rescue plans over the next couple of days, so tonight we are getting to know our allies. “Tell me, Alpha Selyna…are you Cuban, even in part? You almost look like you could be my little sister!” Luz giggles as she sways her hips in time to the music perfectly. I laugh, “I hardly look anywhere near as exotic as you! My mother’s family is mostly English, but may have ties to several European countries and my Father’s side is Greek!” The exotic beauty in front of me blushes a bit, but seems surprised by my answer. “Of course, I had heard this! You just look similar to myself and move so naturally to the Salsa music and I forgot that I already knew of your family
Damian’s POV The hotel room is beyond luxurious and Alpha Franco left Selyna and I clothing and champagne with a note to meet him and his mates downstairs in the lobby at 7PM. He said that if the clothing doesn’t fit, to call him with a cellphone number which is different from his contact number that we have. I am thinking maybe it is his personal line, rather than the contact through the packhouse. The man has expensive taste. I shower in the extravagant shower with the rainfall and massaging jets. The citrus and spice scented body wash feels like silk on my skin, and the Versace shirt he left with the skin tight jeans (also Versace) is of a purple and teal silk. That is far more color than I am used to wearing in one shirt, but I do not want to offend this Alpha, he has a reputation for elaborate parties and unprecedented entertaining, yet rarely lets anyone truly close. There are rumors about his family having ties to the Old Florida Mafia, but none that have been confirmed.
Selyna’s POV Damian and I basically carry Aunt Rayanne back to our hotel room. She is a mess and will be spending the night with us, So much for more private time with my handsome mate. As Damian unlocks the door I look out over the pool area and feel a cool breeze. It’s warm in Florida in December, but the night air is cool and refreshing. Too bad my aunt is too far gone to enjoy the beauty of the place we are in. Damian throws the door open and puts an arm around Rayanne’s other side so we can haul her into the room. Her head lols to the side and she giggles a little mumbling “I don’t know why Hecate would do such a thing to me…I th..think she…she cursed me...*hiccup*...I don’t even like girls that way! I’ve been fighting this way too long!*hiccup* Wolves are lucky they can reject mates! *hiccup*Once Hecate sets a match up you're stuck! S…so you two are lucky you l…lo…love each
Damian’s POV We walked into the clearing and I immediately spot Riff in human for with claws extended slashing through rogues and a giant alligator, that I really hope is Earl. He’s snapping at several rogues in front of him while more come at him from behind hoping to get the drop on him. Sheila must have seen them going after him the same time I do, because her scream echos through the clearing as she leaps forward shifting. I shift and jump in taking out two of the three closest to Earl’s tail. I feel a bolt of lightning pass me hitting a wolf in the chest in midair just as he was leaping at me and see Storm’s fingers crackling with electricity. Selyna is standing to her left doing something with her hands but I don’t have time to watch my mate. We are outnumbered but making quick work of the rogues who have yet to register just what they have gotten into. Bubbles fly by on my ri
