Chapter 52: Curse Detailed
Damian’s POV
She holds the scrolls with trembling hands as we sit on our bed. I got her herbal tea and a large bottle of water. There are four scrolls which Rayanne deemed relevant to the curse. “Do you want me to read the first one or would you like to?” I ask Selyna.
“I’m okay to start, but if I get tired you can read the rest to me.” She smiles a weak smile and blinks her eyes. This one mostly talks about moons and moon magic, but at the bottom says “The MoonOmen wolf curse is based around the cycles of the moon and the wolf moon is the one most likely to unleash the full extent of the beast within. The curse itself is designed to remind the wolves of what their true nature is. Even a mated moonomen wolf might lose himself on the wolf moon, unless his mate is his true mate. Simone CarlisleOkay, so tomorrow will be yet another dual POV chapter. After talking to a friend I decided to make this chapter to add some insight into the curse, which may help in how we break it. As Selyna sets up for the ritual she will remember details from today's chapter, that I didn't mention because she wasn't concentrating on those things. Daman’s POV Since breaking the curse Selyna’s appetite has returned and she seems to be feeling much better, she did have some nausea but after what she experienced before we broke the curse it is minor. The last few nights since breaking the curse we have bathed together using the bundles of herbs and the uncrossing soap. Of course we have our fun in the tub while getting clean. Selyna’s POV I was sure to pack our bags with a variety of clothing to suit the varying climates, as shifters the difference wouldn’t be as pronounced as it is for the witches, but we would still need jackets and long pants up north and things more suitable to the hot weather when we go south, plus comfort would be a factor in choices and being sure we had some clothes in case we had to shift without changing out of our clothes. Selyna’s POV Twice more during our trip I felt that surge, but that van had not followed us. Damian’s POV We walked into the clearing and I immediately spot Riff in human for with claws extended slashing through rogues and a giant alligator, that I really hope is Earl. He’s snapping at several rogues in front of him while more come at him from behind hoping to get the drop on him. Selyna’s POV Damian and I basically carry Aunt Rayanne back to our hotel room. She is a mess and will be spending the night with us, So much for more private time with my handsome mate. As Damian unlocks the door I look out over the pool area and feel a cool breeze. It’s warm in Florida in December, but the night air is cool and refreshing. A Hope for Moonlight Chapter 60: Dinner with an Eccentric Alpha (part 1)
Damian’s POV The hotel room is beyond luxurious and Alpha Franco left Selyna and I clothing and champagne with a note to meet him and his mates downstairs in the lobby at 7PM. He said that if the clothing doesn’t fit, to call him with a cellphone number which is different from his contact number that we have. I am thinking maybe it is his personal line, rather than the contact through the packhouse. The man has expensive taste. I shower in the extravagant shower with the rainfall and massaging jets. The citrus and spice scented body wash feels like silk on my skin, and the Versace shirt he left with the skin tight jeans (also Versace) is of a purple and teal silk. That is far more color than I am used to wearing in one shirt, but I do not want to offend this Alpha, he has a reputation for elaborate parties and unprecedented entertaining, yet rarely lets anyone truly close. There are rumors about his family having ties to the Old Florida Mafia, but none that have been confirmed.
