I smiled softly as I looked down at the bracelet that Eric just gave me. It was really beautiful, but what made it even more beautiful was the fact that he gave it to me as a gift.

I had been given many gifts by men, but this was by far the most perfect gift I had ever received. I didn't care about its value. He could have bought something of twenty euros, and I would still have appreciated it.

I saw the way he was looking at me, looking at the way the bracelet fit onto my wrist. I was undoubtedly his. I never thought I would ever need a man, but he was different. I needed him. Every part of him, in fact.
