Chapter 3

In front of him, Kriti was giggling at a boy who was on his one knee with a flower in his hand, like he was proposing to her. His eyes filled with rage when she accepted his rose with a sweet smile.

That smile was reserved just for him, how could she smile like that to any other boy.

He wanted to say something but his words stuck in his throat. He wanted to confront her but he also didn't want to hear from her that  now she loves someone else.

He immediately ran out of the park and grasped a mouthful of air.

He was suffocating there. It seems like someone has put down a large stone on his heart. His heart was squeezing with pain.

Tears formed in his eyes but he held back, he was always a proud man he never cried in front of anyone.

....

Aadi was a 27 years old mature and proud man. He has raven black silky hair and a dusky complexion. He was 6ft. in height with a v-shaped body structure. He was neither bulky nor skinny. His facial features can be defined as handsome. His hair was his main attraction. He completed his studies two years ago and is now striving for a good job. He never had a girlfriend before, he never wanted a fake or easy character girl. He had seen many girls in his college and his friend's life so he was so cautious about this matter.

He was not the kind of boy who would stalk her girl or check her phone or invade her privacy. That's why he always wanted a trustworthy and honest girl and Kriti was just like that but what he had seen today he can't differentiate her from those cheap girls who cheat on their boyfriends just because of some material facts.

.

.

He was behaving rudely and different from her because he had his reason.

 Some days ago .......

His friend called him and said," Hey bro, what's up?"

"I'm fine, what about you?," Aadi replied.

"Oh I'm fit as always, by the way, I just saw your girl in a men's clothing shop with a boy. I thought I should inform you, they seem pretty close," his friend chuckled jokingly.

He was stunned and his eyes darkened with anger but he closed his eyes and replied calmly, "He is just her friend, they are shopping for their upcoming fresher party in college. I didn't have time to go so she went with her friend."

He lied because he didn't want to give the wrong impression of Kriti to his friend or them to think lowly of her. He doesn't want to ruin her image in front of his friends.

"Beware, my dear friend, they don't look like just friends. Wait I'll send you a picture of them" he teasingly said to him and laughed.

His friend didn't realize he was making a grave mistake by teasing him. He took a picture of them and sent it to Aadi.

Aadi didn't want to look at the picture but reluctantly opened it.

In the picture, Kriti was smiling sweetly and giving that boy a shirt and that boy was looking at her lovingly. They look like a couple in love.

His hands trembled with anger and his eyes got reddened. He calmed his nerves for a minute then called Kriti.

"Hey, baby are you off classes now?" He asked calmly.

"Yes, I just left college, why?" She replied

.

"Oh, so where are you right now?" He asked carefully not to make her doubt something wrong.

"I'm on my way home. Are you coming to pick me up?" she said happily.

"No!! Just asking, are you with someone or alone?" He asked calmly. He didn't want to scare her.

"I'm alone,  baby, who would be with me?" She asked, puzzled.

"Oh nothing, be careful on the road, bye!!" He abruptly hung the phone.

.

.

Why did she lie to him? If she was with a friend she would have told him.

She never lied to him before even if she made some mistake she would tell him the truth. She never told a white lie to him.

After that day his mood started to change, his mind was totally in chaos.  He wanted to ask her why she lie but he couldn't.

He never wanted to hurt her but he couldn't control his emotion whenever he was reminded of that picture and her lie.

…….

Some days later he met his close friend for a small get-together. They went to the house of his friend, the party was set up on the roof. The music was loud and they were drinking and chatting with each other. Some were dancing and teasing. It was a lively atmosphere, for a moment he also forgot about his tensions.

His friend's cousin Raj came to him and gave him a drink and stood beside him. He was quite drunk and he was wobbling when he walked to him.

"Hey bro! How's your little girlfriend?" he asked in a slurry voice?

Aadi was not so fond of Raj because of his nature. He was a playboy and thought so highly of himself. He thinks of girls as a thing to use. Aadi didn't like his mentality.

"She is good, why all of a sudden you are asking about her?" He said irritatingly.

"Nothing, I just saw her some days ago hanging around with a boy. I thought you got dumped"He said and started laughing like crazy.

"Where and when?"Aadi asked

"I don't remember much. Hey, don't tell me you got ditched" He chuckled and looked at him.

He was trying to provoke him. He knew Kriti was Aadi's only weakness.

"Don't talk nonsense, they must be her classmates."Aadi glared at him.

"You don't know girls bro they are like this. You can't trust a girl blindly. They all are materialistic and always ran after their gain." He said in a slurry and drunk voice.

"She is not that kind of girl, "Aadi gritted his teeth and clenched his fist. He doesn't want to affect his emotions with his nonsense.

"Do you agree or not? All girls are like that and you are not better than that. She is also a sl......
