Chapter Sixty-Two

Shannon’s POV

They didn’t look particularly pleased with what I had just said but I didn’t care. If this was going to work, I had to be in charge of it and even if I was to share duties with them, I had to wield a reasonable amount of control.

“You’re reaching now, Shannon.” Ricky began. He had a frown on his face which matched the ones on his brothers’ faces as well. “The fact that we’re committed to making this work doesn’t mean you can ridicule us, do you understand?”

“You’re getting it all wrong, Ricky.” I tried to explain. “If I had any intention of playing you for a fool, I wouldn’t be here. I wouldn’t have sent you a message last night trying to talk to you either.”
