Tamara's POV

I stood there, horrified and heartbroken but I refused to give up.

"But this is my house Jack! I’m the Luna of the winter pack so I get to say who—“

“You don’t get to say anything alone Luna! Have you forgotten that we merged our packs when I claimed you?” Jack interrupted. "I have an equal say in everything. Stop being selfish and think of others for once. Kate will stay with us and that’s final." He declared in a firm unyielding Alpha tone.

I felt my blood boil as I watched Jack scoop Kate up in his arms and carry her to one of the bedrooms upstairs.

She still had that smug smile on her face. That bitch!

Kate had won this round, and unless I did something drastic, she would continue to win. But what could I do?

The logical thing would be to break up with him now so we don’t get married and he doesn’t kill me in the future right?

But there was one problem. Our packs had already merged to become one, and as my pack had grown, Jack’s pack had grown in number and power too.

If I broke up with him, he would probably turn around and send his pack to attack my people with our own resources, and that would be a blood bath.

If I was going to break up with Jack, I had to make sure that my pack would be protected by something or someone strong enough to scare away any retaliation from Jack. But how was I supposed to find that kind of protection? Jack was scared of nobody.

I felt so choked up with emotion that it was overwhelming. I needed some space to breathe.

I left the house, stripped off my clothes and shifted into my wolf form as I ran into the woods, the cool evening air was amazing against my skin.

It felt amazing to be alive!

I felt my wolf Maya rise to the surface to speak to me. “Our parents are alive too! In this time line, our friends and loved ones are all still alive! Tamara, we have to keep them safe this time!” She urged and I agreed.

It seemed that the war and attacks that killed our parents and killed almost half of my pack hadn’t started happening yet.

According to the past timeline, in Just four months from now, Our worst enemy, the ruthless Alpha Dante would send his men to start spying on us. Then he would launch a surprise attack and kill my parents who had retired to Switzerland.

In the past, Alpha Dante had claimed that he was attacking us because my pack members had stolen from him, but we never did such a thing, we were being framed.

After that, a war broke out between us and Alpha Dante wiped out more than half of my pack members.

In the past, Kate used that opportunity to convince my people that everything was my fault. The people blamed me for the death of their loved ones, and turned their backs on me, choosing to support Kate instead.

All this would happen in just four months from now. Which meant that I only had about four months to save my self, my parents and my pack from certain death.

I ran deeper into the forest, trying to clear my thoughts but I soon got tired and decided to head home.

I was sweaty from the run, so I decided to take a shower, but just as I began to strip off my clothes, Jack walked in with an apologetic look on his face. He was also holding a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates.

I quickly pulled my top down, hiding my nakedness from him.

Jack quirked his brow at me. "Why are you hiding your breasts from me? It's not like I haven't seen before." He said and I felt like punching him. He had lost the rights to my body the day I realized he was a traitor.

“What do you want Jack?” I snapped, failing to hide my irritation from him.

Jack looked so shocked at my tone that he froze. “What’s got into you Tamara? You’ve never spoken to me like this before, did I do something wrong?” He asked and I wanted to laugh.

The only thing he did wrong was lie to me, cheat on me, betray me, and then kill me and my unborn child, but he couldn’t discover that I knew these things, so I faked another smile and sighed.

“I’m sorry darling, preparing for the wedding is making me a little tired lately.” I apologized and Jack smiled at me.

"It’s alright Tamara," he began,"I'm also very sorry for yelling at you earlier and arguing with you. I shouldn't have disrespected you in front of everyone. I swear it will never happen again. Please forgive me." He said.

I blinked at him in surprise. The Jack from my past never bought me flowers, and he never apologized so profusely. What was going on?

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    Artifacts and a dying man

Ivonne's POV…Do we have someone like that?” I asked and there was silence. Then Larry let out a long sigh.... "I'm sorry Ivonne, but No living person has that much power.""Great!" I sighed back sarcastically. then I paused when I recalled something. “But you said we had another option, you said either a person has such power or someone has something else that can posess the power?”"Yes, A powerful ancient magical artifact," Leo said. "Some of them are so powerful that they can even reinforce barriers like the veil."Hope sparked inside me.“Then let’s get one quickly, we can't keep risking our loved ones waiting for an attack.”Larry chuckled softly."If only it were that simple Ivonne, we would have done it. But what you are asking for is impossible."“Why?”"Because those artifacts are basically extinct. Only a few people in the world are rumored to have something like that. And even if we met people like that, it would be almost impossible to make them give it to us."My shoulde

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    A new strategy

Ivonne's POV I don’t even remember when I fell asleep. One moment I was curled up against Hector, warm and relaxed in a way I hadn’t felt all day, and the next moment—BANG. BANG. BANG.Someone was pounding on the door like the building was on fire.I jolted awake.“What the—”Another loud bang shook the door.Hector was already moving before I fully processed what was happening. He sat up instantly, his body tense, eyes sharp in a way that told me he had switched from sleep to battle mode in less than a second.“Stay here,” he automatically pushed me back on the bed when I tried to get up.“Stay— Hector, someone is trying to break our door down!”Another bang.“Hector! Open the door!”I recognized the voice. It was Sevrin. That realization was enough to make my stomach drop because that meant there was trouble.Hector was already out of bed and pulling on his pants as he strode toward the door. I wrapped my robe around myself and hurried after him, my heart suddenly racing. The mome

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    Recharging

Ivonne's POV I'm not gonna lie, I was very tired after all that. I had left Justin with a smile to assure him that I had everything under control, but the moment I stepped out of the room, I slumped against the door in exhaustion. The whole day was draining, starting from the adrenaline rush of going back to the northern continent, then meeting Lincoln and that bitch of his mistress, Alison, who was wearing my mother's jewelry, then the whole emotional rollercoaster of trying to convince the girls to help the people renovate the school, and then the threat on Hector's life, and the assurance of Hector, then coming back to face the elders… oh my goddess! All I could say was that it was a lot for one day. Too much, actually. And I felt so emotionally drained in ways I didn’t even have words for.Right now, all I wanted was to recharge, and I knew the best way to do that.I needed my man.I needed Hector. With that thought, I pushed myself off the door and hurried down the corridor to

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    A new Play

Ivonne's povThe second I recovered from the shock of seeing Justin and all those angry lycan Elders waiting for me, my fear turned into irritation.Heavy, simmering irritation.I straightened my spine and crossed my arms over my chest.“Okay,” I said flatly. “Someone better start explaining why I'm being ganged up on. Right now.”No one spoke at first.Justin looked torn between anger and worry, his jaw clenched so tight I thought it might crack. The older lycans behind him stood with identical stiff expressions, as if they’d rehearsed this moment.“Will someone tell me what the hell is going on?” I demanded.Justin let out a bitter laugh, the sound sharp and humorless.“They’re trying to scrap the play Ivonne.”For a moment, I honestly thought I’d misheard him.“…They’re doing what?”One of the elders scoffed. “You heard him. We are canceling your foolish little play right now.”My temper snapped.“Excuse me?” I said. “You don’t just wake up one morning and decide to cancel somethin

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    Terrorists

Ivonne's pov'Stop what you are doing or Hector will be killed today'That was the text I had receieved and my hands wouldn’t stop shaking since I read it.No matter how tightly I curled them into fists. No matter how many times I told myself to breathe, to calm down, to think logically... The words from the anonymous message kept replaying in my head like a cursed echo.Stop what you’re doing.... Hector will be killed. The air felt thick in my lungs. My chest ached like someone had wrapped a fist around my heart and refused to let go.I barely registered the voices around me anymore. People were still talking, laughing, congratulating each other over the work we had accomplished today. They looked happy. Proud. Energized.Meanwhile, all I could see in my mind was blood.Hector bleeding. Hector collapsing and Hector dying because of me.“Ivonne?”Larry’s voice finally cut through the chaos in my head. I lifted my gaze slowly, realizing he had been standing in front of me for several s

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    Ivonne's clever plans back fire

Ivonne's povI kept my glare fixed on Lincoln, my teeth grinding slightly as I struggled to breathe evenly. That necklace... my mother’s necklace... was more than just jewelry. It was memory, legacy, every ounce of love and care my father had put into protecting my mother’s memory. And here was this tramp Alison, wearing it like some trophy, with Lincoln silently letting it happen.“I can’t fuckng believe this,” I sneered at him. “Lincoln… did you actually give her that?”Lincoln sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose. “No. I didn’t give it to her.”My eyes narrowed. “Then what? Did you… allow it? Permit it?”Alison smirked, stepping closer, and with all the grace of someone deliberately testing me, she said, “Nope. Lincoln didn’t give it to me. He just said I could take anything I wanted, and I wanted this. So, here we are.”My chest tightened so fast I almost couldn’t speak. “You—remove it. Now.”Alison laughed, a sharp, brittle sound that grated on my nerves. “Or what?”“Or I remov
