Kayla’s POV

“If he rejects my requests because of you,” Xavier hissed, his voice low and menacing, “I’ll make sure i show you the true meaning of pain and fear.”

The room felt icy as Xavier’s threat echoed in my ears.

He had never ever spoken to me with such hate and disgust before. I won't lie, it hurt, but I kept my composure.

'Don’t break, Kayla. Never again.' I reminded myself.

Xavier whirled around and stormed out with a smug Mia, leaving me behind with my racing thoughts.

I slowly followed behind them but I was forced to a startling halt when he suddenly froze in the middle of the hallway.

I followed cautiously behind him and saw why.

Alpha Adrian was still standing there.

He stood a few feet away, leaning casually against the wall as if he had no intention of leaving after all.

ever happy for Kayla now, she want have to be bully anymore. I'm just disappointed in Xavier the way he ended up treating Kayla at the end. I hope he gets what he deserves with Mia by his size. I'm looking forward to the new adventures of Kayla and I hope Adrian will start liking her. recover
