My pulse quickened at the mention of Lucienne's name, my breath catching in my throat. "Is she okay?" I asked, my voice strained with worry as I imagined all sorts of scenarios.

The nurse's voice was calm but tinged with a hint of urgency. "Yes, Alpha. She's awake and stable now, but she seems insistent on seeing you," she explained, her words sending a surge of hope coursing through me.

Relief flooded through me, mingling with an overwhelming sense of gratitude to the Moon Goddess. "Thank you," I murmured, my gratitude evident in my tone. "I'll be there as soon as I can."

Hanging up the phone, I turned to Nicholas, my expression bright with newfound hope. "Lucienne's awake," I announced, unable to keep the joy from my voice. "She's asking for me."
