"Lucienne," I began again, my voice now firm and commanding. "You should be resting. Hope the walk didn't drain you much?" I chided, though my tone softened slightly as I saw the apologetic look in her eyes.

Lucienne's gaze dropped, her voice barely above a whisper as she responded with a small smile. "I'm sorry, Killian," she murmured, her words laced with guilt. "I guess I should call you Alpha Killian now… It just needed some fresh air, and Doctor Hayes said it would be okay. But I am fine, I assure you."

I sighed, running a hand through my hair in frustration. "I understand, Lucienne," I admitted, my tone gentler now as I reached out to help her sit down. "But you need to prioritize your health right now."

She nodded in understanding, her expression contrite as she met my gaze. "I'm sorry," she repeated, her voice tinged with regret. "I promise I won't do anything reckless again. I need to pay you back after all.”

I offered her a small smile, unable to stay angry with her
