Chapter Four

By the time I had arrived back inside the city the moon had nearly split in two as it had risen high above the buildings. She understood my intentions and ultimately it was more like an ill omen mostly because I was set on destroying more of my kind. Perhaps if I could have heard her voice I could have given them a chance at redemption but it's difficult to change who and what I am. I can already feel the power flowing inside of my body with the wolf begging to be freed.

I let the power flow so freely within me like unlatching a lock to the dam. The way it courses through me like a tempest storm is a bitter pleasure. The transformation for the most part is more pleasant when beneath the moon's gaze. But I hold no favor in her eyes so I must embrace the painful change as it racks my body.  With each step I make I can feel the power Settling down slowly which begins the true change.
