Chapter 12

Unlike many part-timers, I didn't actually mind Saturdays. Saturday's where one of my least busy days. I had only had to work House of the day, and I would have the rest of the day to myself. I was particularly happy this month as I got the chance to work with my best friend Bella. we would meet up in front of the subway station that is a block away from the restaurant, and walk to work together. By the time we would arrive at the front door, we would pretty much go through all of the work-related gossip.

“You seem extra gloomy today, chirped Bella. oh how I would wish to be a morning person like her.

“I think last week's turnout is finally catching up to me,” I replied trying to keep my eyes open. “You know how won’t feel how tired you actually are until you stop? that is exactly how I'm feeling at this very moment. I can't wait for my shift to be over, so I can go back to my dorm and sleep until the next morning.”
