PLEASE SPARE MY LIFE

Stanley stared at his brother Gerald with so much anger in his eyes.

"If it weren't for the fact that we are related, I would have shot you to death right away," he said as he pointed his gun at Gerald.

Gerald covered his head with his hands and annoyingly said, "but you really can't blame me, if you had given me the money I asked for, I wouldn't have had to pawn off the necklace."

Stanley became angrier and cocked his gun but his fiancee Savanna got in between them and said, "Stanley, please calm down. I know you are angry but Gerald is your brother. If you kill him you will regret it."

Stanley said, "get out of my way, Sav. Let me kill this good-for-nothing idiot. I stopped giving him money because I want him to come work at the company and be useful to himself but he had the effrontery to sell our late father's necklace.

That necklace has been handed down through generations and is our family's heirloom. It costs so much money but this good-for-nothing idiot who calls himself my brother pawned it off and that too for a measly sum. I am going to kill him and bury him myself."

Savanna said, "I know that what he did was wrong but I'm sure that he regrets it." She turned to Gerald who was still standing behind her and said, "come on, apologize to Stanley for what you did."

However, Gerald refused to apologize. He squeezed his handsome face in anger and waited for Stanley to do his worst.

He hated Stanley so much and wanted nothing more than to take everything from him and leave him with nothing but Stanley was good at handling their late father's business.

He knew that it would be difficult to snatch everything from Stanley but he was going to do it, no matter how long it took.

How could Stanley cut off his allowance and ask him to come work under him in the company? Stanley had no right to dictate for him and it was his father's money. He had every right to spend as much as he wanted from it.

Stanley's phone rang while he was still pointing his gun at Gerald and when he answered the call, the person on the other side of the phone said, "Stanley, I have located the necklace. It will be auctioned at the black market tomorrow by eight. You can definitely buy it back."

Stanley calmed down a little. When he got off the phone, he stared at Gerald angrily, "this is the last time I will tolerate this behavior from you." After speaking, he turned around and walked into his study before shutting the door.

Savanna stared at Gerald for a long time and said, "that was really close, be careful next time and stop upsetting your brother."

She decided to go into Stanley's study to placate him but he was still upset and refused to open the door for her.

Lana lay still on the floor and pretended to also be dead. She heard when the man who had shot at them counted all of them and said, "they are complete. Dispose of all the bodies into the river and meet us at the truck."

As she heard him walk away, Lana realized that only one of the men was left behind and thought about making a run for it.

She heard him throw the bodies into the river one after the other. When he took a dead body close to her, she slowly peeked at him and noticed that his back was turned to her.

She pushed the dead girl off her back, got up, and began to run deeper into the bush. However, the newly employed criminal noticed what had happened and immediately ran after her.

Lana ran with all the strength and speed she could muster but the criminal was faster than her. He quickly caught up to her, grabbed her by the hair, and flung her to the ground.

Lana quickly got on her knees just as he pointed his gun at her. She cried, "please, don't kill me, I beg you. I will do anything you ask, I promise but, please spare my life."

The newly employed criminal stared at her and asked, "you're the new girl, the one who is still a virgin, am I right?"

Lana nodded her head. The man thought for a while and said, "if you really are a virgin, then you are more useful to me alive. I hope you are not lying to me because I will surely find out the truth."

"No, I am not lying" Lana replied. "I am really a virgin."

"Alright then." The criminal looked behind him briefly and took out a rope from his pocket. He took Lana's hands behind her and tied them securely, after which he tied the rope around a tree.

He took out his handkerchief and tied it around her mouth before saying, "wait here for me, and don't try to escape. If you try to act funny, I will kill you without any hesitation."

The moment the criminal left, Lana tried to free her hands from the rope. She couldn't trust that criminal and didn't know if he was still going to force her to become a prostitute.

She would rather take the risk of escaping than succumb to such a life. But, no matter how hard she tried, Lana could not free herself.

If her hands were tied in front, she would have surely used her teeth but because they were tied behind her, she wasn't able to get loose.

The criminal went back to the dead bodies and threw the rest into the water, just as he was about to throw the last body, the man who had killed the girls came back and said,

"you are even slower than an old woman. How long is it supposed to take for you to throw just twenty-three dead bodies into this river?"
