A second chance

I went to the meeting with my father, in order to hear what my he has to say to me. I take the car and within thirty minutes I have already arrived at the restaurant where we are going to meet. As soon as I take my seat my father appears at the entrance to the restaurant. I see he wasted no time after my call. Me who thought I was going to at least be alone for a few minutes to collect my thoughts. Never mind, it's an asset on its own. It proves that he is therefore a punctual, organized man.

"Hello son!" He said taking a seat on the empty chair in front of me.

"Good evening!" I answered.

"So you're holding up with your mother's passing?" He asks, giving me a look of concern.

"I've seen better days, but I'm still standing." I reply coldly.

"I'm sorry !" Replies my father with a sympathetic air. I still don't answer.
