51. Shouldn't I Love You, For Your Inner Beauty?

After remaining outside the car a bit longer, he took this time to cool down and think. Then, finally, Dexter gets in the car, still disappointed in himself, placing his hands on the steering wheel and hanging his head down. They sit quietly in the parking lot as minutes of silence pass between them before either of them decides to speak. They both were afraid to say anything, afraid of the words that might come out. Yet, neither of them wanted it to end.

Dexter started the car and drove slowly. Taesha laid her head back on the headrest as she looked out the passenger window.
