The waitress came to check to see if they needed anything else. Right when Taesha was about to remind him of what she told him six months ago in Colorado.

After Dexter told the waitress they were fine, she left. Taesha gathered her thoughts and said.

"Dexter, do you remember these words I said to you?"

"Since this is your first time dating a girl of another ethnicity. You have to think about your fans and family. How would they feel once it comes out that you're dating a girl like me, a girl of another nationality? I asked you if you would be able to handle all of the pressure. What about your family members? Everyone is not for interracial relationships. Is that what happened the other night at your grandmother's? Is that why they escorted me out of their house? And is that why you were hurt because your mother couldn't accept me like you thought she would?"
