ETHAN'S POV

“Come with me. If anyone asks, you're the Alpha's personal valet.”

Those words made my heart beat in excitement.

The feeling of both disbelief and fear all tangled into one heartbeat made me pause for a moment.

For a split second, I just stood there, letting the moment sink in.

"Three feet." His voice reminded me, sharp and low.

I quickly bowed, suppressing a grin, and followed behind him, skipping slightly in excitement. We made our way to the royal court.

But when we reached the entrance, I froze.

The doors were tall, carved with ancient runes that shimmered faintly under the flickering torchlight. The scent of power hung in the air, heavy, intimidating. I swallowed hard as the guards made way for Alpha Ryan, their silver-tipped spears crossing for a moment before letting the Alpha pass.

I peered inside.

The hall was filled with the pack's wolves of authority.
