Nirvana was tired and a little bit tipsy when she parted from her friends at the gate. It had been satisfying to catch up on things after so long, but she hadn’t thought things through when she arrived at the bar because of the message she received from Leah earlier.

True, she knew that there was no way she would be in a bar with her friend and cousin and wouldn’t get drunk, which was why she didn’t bring her car. She came by bus and thought she would return the same way but it was late now and the lines along the bar had gotten creepy.

Everywhere was dark, but where she was passing was darker. Nirvana knew that she had a subtle fear of darkness; she had once been poisoned by Kaitlyn and made to stay in a dark room alone.

The pain was excruciating, but the poison wouldn’t kill her as long the time of exit was right. Nirvana had screamed and tumbled around the dark room without seeing anything, trying but failing to find an escape.

She was later taken to the hospital for treatment but

Both of them stared at each other silently, empty green eyes fixed on stormy blue ones. A car hooting in the distance at the same time Nirvana felt a silent skip in her heart; she blinked in confusion before she yanked her hand away from him.“Don’t touch me.” She snapped.“You were falling.” He still remained unbothered.“And you were waiting for an excuse.”He didn’t let go, if nothing, he tightened his grip on her as she stood straight. She gave him a meaningful glare but he pretended not to see it as he furrowed his brow at her and checked her appearance. To Nirvana’s shock and surprise, concern appeared fleetingly but lingered enough that Nirvana caught sight of it.“You are exhausted. You shouldn’t even be here.”She had thought him a robot, perfectly incapable of even the tiniest bit of emotion –but this development proved her wrong and left her unsure of a reply. His concern felt as real as it looked, even his tone was mildly filtered with warmth.“And that is why I am leaving

Dead, deep, and as cold as his voice. It looked like it wasn’t capable of feeling anything, and the way it narrowed on Nirvana made her feel like the owner also didn’t want it to feel anything.“What the hell are you doing?” He asked, and that seemed to snap her out of her trance. She looked at him in confusion before she realized that she was now standing in what could be considered his personal space. She had unconsciously leaned closer when she was still trying to figure out where she knew his eyes from. There was silence around them since they were the only people standing in the hall. The golden light casted a glow on his hair and made the silky black shimmer, his pale lips were pulled into a thin line and his cold green eyes still remained pinned on her as she scrambled for words.“Uh…” He didn’t give her the chance to reply before he took a step back himself and glanced at her with a foreign look she wasn’t too confident she liked.“Weddings always bring the weirdest people tog

The only energy she could find was the one to glare at the couple standing at the side and greeting everyone and anyone. She couldn’t find it in herself to appreciate the expensive décor of the hall nor the blinding white light and rose.Shame, those lilies would have been perfect.“You definitely look the part of the ex-girlfriend now with the way you are glaring,” she heard beside her and turned to see Calvin standing there with a small smile on her face. A full blown grin spread on her own lips too.It has been days since she saw him, he happened to be among the few people who knew how to bring her smile out of her, maybe it has to do with the connection they had till the end.“It is not my fault that they made me sleep late because of their argument about how Derek wanted to come back to me, as if I would ever take that disgusting thing back. It was late in the night and it was full-blown fight, you can’t blame me for being all cranky and glaring the fuck out of them,” Nirvana rep

Nirvana’s head was still spinning by the time she got back to the Jules Mansion. She still couldn’t shake her thoughts about the protector that came out of the blue and who—true to his words—might have been there for longer than she realized. But why now of all times? If he had been there and even knew about her accident, was there a probability that he was a variable that had been involved in her life before but she didn’t notice? She admitted her fault there, she hardly noticed anything. Not Leah’s Kindness, Boris’ Persistence, Derek’s manipulation and apparently, this person’s presence.“Took you long enough to come home,” she heard as soon as she entered through the door. Both Diana and Kingsley were both sitting in the living room, their attention solely focused on their phones. She cocked a brow in their direction.“Is there something you needed me for?” she asked, taking a beeline to the kitchen to get a glass of water. The tipsiness which had mostly disappeared still needed to

The tension was high and every employee around had a layer of sweat or two on their forehead, nervously wiping it away as they kept their eyes glued at the woman who looked like she was about to burn down the boutique.“What the heck do you mean you can’t find my dress?” Kaitlyn yelled as the exclusive designer she had hired to make the best wedding dress for her, it was supposed to stare on the front page of a famous magazine as the wedding dress of the year and what? She was telling her that she couldn’t find it?“I am sorry, I swear that it was right here. In fact, it was the only thing in the room but I couldn't find it,” The designer stuttered, the sweat falling from her body at an ungodly amount. She was aware that the woman in front of her could close down her boutique out of rage.“How is that supposed to concern me? You have to find that fucking dress because the wedding is tomorrow,” Kaitlyn snapped at her with cold eyes as the woman hurried away once again to look at it all
