THE MYSTERIOUS WOMAN

...ROBERT...

The next morning, I woke up with my head aching, I cursed in a low voice as I tried to sit up, I noticed I was naked,

I tried to remember what had happened the previous night and the memories came rushing in, there was a woman with blue eyes,

I immediately faced to the other side of the bed and found it empty but did not miss the blood stains on the beddings and immediately panicked as I stood up.

I went to my bathroom to check if the woman was still around but there was no sign of her, except from the bloody sheets, there was no indication that the woman had ever been in the room.

I tried to think if I had ever seen her anyway before but I couldn't even remember her face clearly except from her blue eyes. I couldn't understand how I had ended up in bed with a woman, talk less of a stranger, I knew I didn't drink too much to make me lose control of myself like that. The fact that I had sex with a stranger disgusted me to the core, I had betrayed My fiance, Melissa. I didn't know how I was going to face her knowing I had sex with another woman.

I let out another curse as I got out of bed and went to take a long shower. Last night was my sister's birthday, Mom and I got into a heated argument that I ended up going to my room early instead of going to join everyone at the party, now that I thought of it, that woman could be among the guests that attended Grace's birthday party, it was no coincidence that she found herself in my room and bed and ran off before I woke up, and to make matters more complicated, she was a fucking virgin, Why would a virgin give herself away to me?. The stains on the bed made it clear that I was the first man she had ever been with. Everything that had happened didn't seem ordinary, I needed to find that woman, I had a lot of questions she needed to answer.

I got out of the shower and changed the beddings and then went downstairs.

I found everyone having breakfast, Mom, Grace and Grandpa, only Lucas and I were missing on the table

"Robert, you are finally awake" Mom said when she noticed my presence, I couldn't help noticing she seemed to be in a good mood which was so unlike her, I ignored her and turned to look at Grace

"Can i talk to you for a moment?" I asked, Grace looked at Mom for permission before she stood up and walked over to me escorting me out.

"You didn't attend my birthday party Robert and not only that, you didn't even get me a present, Am I not your favorite sister anymore?" Grace complained clinging unto my arm making a baby face

"You are 21 now Grace, that face won't work on me anymore" I said messing up with her hair

"I still want my present" she said

"I know, your present will be delivered today, now I want to ask you about something" I said in a serious tone

"What is it?" She asked

"Among your guest yesterday, was there a woman with Dark long hair and blue eyes?" I asked anxiously hoping she would immediately recognize her

"Mmmh, what was she wearing?" Grace asked thoughtfully

"I don't know Grace, probably a dress" I said, there was nothing much I remembered about her except from her eyes and long hair

"Why are you looking for this specific woman?" Grace suddenly asked with raised eyebrows

"Its non of your business, just tell me if you know her" I said

"Well, I don't think I paid much attention to everyone that was at the party, I don't have any friends with Blue eyes though but tell me big bro, did you like the woman, why are you interested in finding her?" She asked with a grin, 

"I told you its non of your business just give me your guest list" I said pushing her face off

"I think you like her" she teased, I let out a deep sign

"You know the only woman I love is Melissa, now go and get me that guest list" I said pushing her towards her bedroom.

A few minutes later, Grace came back with a piece of paper with the list

"I only know ten of my friends there, the rest were invited by Lucas and the event planner, good luck on finding your mystery woman" she teased with a giggle and rushed off to the breakfast room before I scolded her.

Once Grace was gone, I turned my focus to the piece of paper and went through the guest list which had the numbers and addresses of the Guests,

It would be a long process if I called each of the women one by one so I got my phone and called my colleague and best friend Adam

"Where are you?" I asked when he answered

"Am already outside" he answered, I hang up the call and immediately went outside where I found him waiting for me in the car

"What's up?" He asked when I got in

"I need you to give me a profile of each of the women on this guest list" I said handing him the paper, Adam looked at me keenly

"What happened?" He asked with interest

"I had sex with one of them" I brutally said. Adam and I had grown up together, he was one person I trusted the most and could tell anything, I turned to look at his Surprised face

"Cover your mouth before a fly gets in" I told him making him chuckle

"Okay jokes aside, you did what?" He asked in a serious tone this time

"I know it sounds absurd, I mean I love Melissa, never have I ever cheated or even thought of cheating on her, I don't even understand how it happened, the guilt is killing me man, I don't even know how to face her" I paused letting out a deep sign

"I need to find that woman, I have a lot of questions I need to ask her" I added,

"Mrs Crown mentioned you were drank last night, are you sure you even had sex?, the Robert I know never looks at other women talkless of having sex with them" I gave Adam a death stare

"She was a virgin!" I stated and watched as his jaw dropped, he looked speechless

"Look, I drank a little last night, she came into my bed room, I was somehow high and had no control of myself and so we had sex, when I woke up this morning, she was gone, I was only left with stained sheets" I explained with a sign, just thinking of it made me feel uneasy, how could I cheat on Melissa?.

"Woa, just like that?" Adam asked surprised

"Yes just like that, I think she drugged me or something, thats why I need to find her, I don't even recall her face, there was no conversation between us, all I know is she had long dark hair and blue eyes, we need to find her, there are a lot of questions I need to ask her" Adam nodded

"I will make it as quick as possible, now let's go" he said and started the car.

During the ride to the hospital, I was deep in thought while Adam sang along to the music playing..

About an hour later after I finished attending to a patient, I heard a bip from my phone and immediately reached for it,

Adam had sent me an email, I immediately opened it, it was the pictures and names of all the female guests at the party last night, I quickly strolled through the pictures in hope of finding the woman I was looking for..
