Emma’s and Robert’s point of view
Emma sat quietly watching lucy by the lake. As always, she was in a world of her own gazing up at the stars. Nicola and Alex were sat at a bench engrossed in their own conversation. Emma slowly walked over to Lucy; she smiled down at her and quietly sat next to her leaning her head on her shoulder. She was her best friend. She knew without a doubt that lucy was thinking of her hometown, it was Lucys go to. Living in her past. Lucy glanced up and looked over at Nicola and Alex, Emma smiled she was always checking everyone was ok. Even when they all went out clubbing Lucy was the one to protect them all. The sober one. Watching everything and everyone.
Emma looked up towards the park when she heard a noise, signing when she saw Robert in the distance. He had fancied him for some time. He was her dream guy. Having known him for some time yet never managed to find the courage or the confidence to take things further than their friendship. She signed again, Leaning back into the grass. Giving a small shiver as a breeze blew. Lucy laid back with her, staring up at the stars. They were stunning, it was such a clear night. Lucy looked stunning as always, Emma found herself wishing she had curves like Lucy. She sat up again.
“You okay Lucy?” Lucy smiled over at her. It was a sad kind of smile.
“Yeah, I’m fine, just thinking about home again and got lost in my thoughts I guess.” Emma smiled over at her; she didn’t dig deeper she had known well enough where Lucy was in thought. Emma stood up, brushed herself off, pulled Lucy up and suggested they went for a walk heading towards the park where Robert and his mates were.
Emma suddenly felt empowered, she knew it was safe to go over, and she was going to use the chance to get Robert’s attention. Lucy grinned at her; this is when Emma realised that Lucy had already spotted the guys as well. They linked arms and started walking up the small bank towards the park behind the local pub.

Robert looked over at the lake and noticed that Emma and her friend had stood up and were walking towards them. He fidgeted and panicked a little, He had such strong feelings for Emma, but she was over him there was no way a woman like her would even look at a guy like him! They were worlds apart. He walked over towards the swings, keeping his distance he felt would play it cool, as he was sure if he tried to talk to her, he would make a bigger fool of himself.
When Emma stopped walking, she noticed that Robert had moved away keeping his distance from her. Her heart sank, she didn’t know why he kept his distance he had been like it for ages. They had got on so well and she thought they had both felt the same and things were building nicely then one day he just became aloof and pulled back from her. She squared her shoulders stood up straight, pushed her breasts out and decided she was going to try anyway.
Lucy looked at her and smiled, they stopped short, the tall guy Emma didn’t’ know stopped just in front of them she smiled looking past him to Robert still on the swings. She greeted James and then headed over towards Robert.
Robert noticed Emma walking past James and Richard heading straight towards him, he panicked slightly not knowing what to do. Growling at himself he mumbled “Grow up Man, she’s a damn woman, not a monster, pull yourself together”
“Hiya” Emma sat next to him. Giving Henry a nod who smiled with a knowing wink and walked away from them to give them space. Robert looked over at Emma and noticed how beautiful her eyes were tonight and so out of contrast with her black hair. He smiled at her. She was stunning. And his heart melted.
“Hey Babe” the words were out of his mouth before his brain had chance to catch them, he went bright red. Emma smiled her eyes lighting up with joy. He called me Babe! She thought. It must mean something, you just don’t call someone babe after years of knowing each other and not feeling something. With renewed ambition she started to talk to him. Slowly the awkward barrier that had been between them recently dropped and they became friends again. They both started to relax into their friendship.
Emma smiled shyly at him; she was never shy but something about being in Roberts Presence made her feel so. Robert feeling more confident and after talking with Emma leaned over and put his arm around her, she leaned her head on his shoulder as the swings pulled closer together. This felt good, it felt right. Emma looked towards Lucy; she was by a tree with James talking. Lucy glanced up having just looked at her watch.
“Emma, we better get going it’s gone eleven” She called over. Emma nodded in agreement smiling up at Robert, they stood up and started to follow Lucy and James.
Robert took Emma’s hand as they walked behind Lucy, the others we all ambling along behind them. Robert had gained some courage while he had been talking to Emma, building up a little more he knew it was time to take another step towards Emma, so far, she had been quite receptive of his advances.
Robert slid his hands down Emma’s body grabbing the hem of her nightdress he ripped the thing up and over her head. She arched her back into him as he kissed up her belly to her breasts. She as perfect. He cupped one of them as he played with her nipple suckling on the other Emma’s lips parted in desire. She looked up at him he had way too many clothes on. Her hands came to his t-shirt as she pulled it up and over his head. Why did he have so many clothes on she was breathless, how was she naked already.Grabbed her hands and tucked them behind her head smiling down at her he wanted to taste her and tease. His bulge was straining to be released from his jeans. He thrust his hips into her, letting her feel how much he wanted her. She parted her legs to allow him to get closer. Not being able to move her hands she nipped his lip. He stopped and looked at her raising his eyebrow. “Please Robert” she begged him. He released her hands; Emma instantly went to his belt fumbling to get it und
The screaming was unbearable; it had been going on since six am. Her mother was throwing crockery across the room; her dad was shouting obscenities at her mother. The neighbours had already banged on the door and been told to fuck off. The fighting was getting worse each day, like give it a rest already. If you don’t want to be with each other just break the hell up. Lucy buried her head under her pillow, the more they fought the more she knew it was time to move out. She was saving everything she could to get her own place. Another loud crash from downstairs had Lucy boiling with anger now. She got out of bed, got dressed and slammed her way into the front room, dodging a vase at it cam flying at the door she had just come through.“What the actual fuck do you two think you are playing at?” Lucy screamed in shock “How dare you treat each other like this, the neighbours have had enough and frankly so have I. You act like fucking children not bloody adults.” Lucy looked at both her pa
Emma was sat in her flat, Having not long woken up; her hair was tied back and her legs tucked under her as she sat on the bed, with the sun streaming through the open window, she loved her small flat it wasn’t anything fancy, but she was on her own out in the world. She picked up My Bear, her Teddy.“I’m not that boring to talk to am I Bear?” She spoke to him, Bear didn’t answer, “If only men were like you” she sighed “Didn’t answer back” she chuckled. She sat Bear down in front of her as he basked in his non- human glory. He was a Black Bear with a blue hoodie; Robert had brought him for her when they went to build a bear on a date. “So where was I? Oh yeah you are a good listener, listen to the songs on the Radio Bear, they all pants, there is nothing new! It’s just the same beat, with different words and that’s if there are words! It’s about time something new came out, something that blew peoples socks off.” Bear sat there in silence, “As much as I love you Bear you are no match
The usual place was the small Pizza Hut on the High Street. It was quite busy today; the blue sky had brought people out of their homes and into the town centre. At eleven o’clock James was the only person that hadn’t arrived. The seven friends chatted until he arrived five minutes later., He was half running and half walking towards them.“Finally, you set a time and you’re the one that’s late” Lucy chuckled at him, tapping her watch, James didn’t answer just grabbed her around the waist pulling her to him, kissing her with a growl.“Get a room guys” Robert laughed, “The world does not need to see how nauseatingly loved up you two are” “Robert!” Emma barked at him “We can be just as bad.” She crossed her arms and turned away from him, her nose in the air, Rover looked to the heavens and mouth “Why me” she was right they were just as bad. He spun Emma around taking her in his arms and tickling her. She laughed and he kissed her. IT was just like them, this was just how they were. Peo
James hung up the phone, shaking his head. He wished Lucy would move in with him, he’s place wasn’t much but it was so much better than living at home where she was always walking on eggshells. Her Mothers mood swings were something massive she dealt with, but she never let it get her down she was a real trooper but living like that was hell and he tried so hard to keep her spirits high. He knew it was time to bring up the subject of moving in with him again soon.He picked up his mobile again and found Emma in his contacts, he hit dial and waited for her to pick up. “Why are you ringing me again?” He laughed at the way she answered the phone. “I missed you Bestie!” Emma laughed, “Flattery”James relayed his and Lucys plans and checked that Emma was happy to join them. Emma jumped at the chance and said she would see them shortly. Hanging up the phone she ran upstairs to get ready. James shook his head, that woman was like a whirlwind. He selected Roberts Number next and dialled out.“
Lucy was at home, still living with her parents, she shook her head why she hadn’t moved out, yet she still didn’t know. Her mobile was downstairs she had nothing on it yet, Just Emma’s number. She felt so stupid still after dropping her phone in the lake. She laughed as she remembered watching James had jump in after it. He had tried so hard to get it before it sank. But it was too late. It was dead. She had popped the battery out and left it to dry in pieces over the course of the next few days, but she reluctantly had to go and get a new phone on Friday when she realised it was toast! Lucy heard the phone ringing downstairs and her mum walking across the hardwood floor to answer it. Her mum walked aback across the floor and shouted up the stairs to her. She got up from her bed and went downstairs. She picked up her mobile as she walked past it, maybe she should have kept this with her as she saw several missed calls.“Hi” Lucy said into the phone receiver.“Hey sweetie, I tried y
