Lucy was engaged in conversation with Richard and James, Richard mentioned he was from the same town and had attended the same school as her. Despite this connection, her attention was frequently drawn to James, who had spoken little throughout their interaction. Observing the subtle exchanges between Lucy and James, Richard excused himself and joined the others gathered by a nearby tree. As he left, Lucy acknowledged his attractiveness, yet it was James's presence that evoked a stronger reaction within her, her nerves tightening as she met his gaze.
Lucy found James appealing—not only for his personality, but for an additional quality she couldn't quite name. She was drawn to him in an inexplicable way. His blue eyes were strikingly intense, and a small scar on his chin contributed to his distinguished appearance. She had this overwhelming desire to run her fingers over it. Standing a at least a full foot taller than her, he was a noticeable presence she could not overlook.
Lucy and James sat together in silence, enjoying each other's company before gradually starting to talk. Lucy noticed the way his brown hair moved subtly in the evening breeze. As their conversation began, it became evident that he possessed a pleasant personality; he was able to make her laugh, and she responded naturally with a smile. Lucy found him to be intelligent, and his sustained eye contact fostered a sense of security for her. When Lucy checked her wrist for the time, she was surprised to discover it was already past eleven o’clock.
"Is that the time?" she exclaimed. "It's past eleven," she remarked, glancing around to locate Emma and the others.
"Yes," James replied, "that's typically the hour just about now." Lucy chuckled as James smiled at her.
"Emma, we should be leaving; it's already past eleven," Lucy called out. Emma nodded in agreement.
"Why?" James asked, visibly disappointed as he had been enjoying their conversation.
"We have a wedding to attend in the morning," she responded.
"This all feels rather abrupt," James commented with a smile, maintaining eye contact. "We've only just met." Lucy felt herself blush but laughed softly, meeting his gaze. She sensed something developing between them, though she was uncertain what it might become. Around him, she felt safe and comfortable sensations she had not experienced for years. He made the world seem brighter.
"May I walk you home?" he inquired, hoping to prolong their conversation. There was something captivating about her, as if meeting her had completed a part of himself.
"Yeah," she replied calmly, though she was thrilled inside. She hoped that a strong friendship could develop between them, which she valued greatly. She enjoyed his company and noticed a distinct feeling when around him. They walked toward Lucy's house with the rest of the group following behind them. For part of the walk, they were silent, appreciating each other's presence. James then took Lucy's hand; she glanced at it and smiled, the gesture resonating deeply with her. Feeling encouraged, James paused and turned to face her, recognizing that this was a significant moment and deciding to act on his feelings.
“Lucy?”
“Yes James?” Lucy looked up longingly.
“I know this is insane,” James said, his confidence now not so apparent. He glanced at his feet, inhaled deeply, and gazed intently into Lucy’s eyes. “There is just something about you, that calls to me, like you’re a part of my soul, we have an instant connection, and I want to explore this with you.” Lucy looked at him with a small smile, she knew exactly what he was saying. It was uncanny how she honestly felt like thy had known each other forever, that he was meant for her and her alone.
Lucy was delighted that she wasn’t the only one that felt this way. Surely if they were both feeling this attraction, towards each other there must be something in it. “"Can I think about it, James? I agree this is special, but it's still early." Lucy took both his hands in hers and smiled up at him. He smiled with a nod, and they carried on walking holding hands.
_______________
James knew she was right to think on it, but he wanted an answer, his insides churned with anticipation. He kept looing over at Lucy, she was stunning, he felt it, she belonged with him, she was his. All of a sudden, he felt really stupid, knowing that he had just asked a woman out that he had only known for a couple of hours. Who would agree to exploring a new relationship with a near stranger? What had he been thinking? If anything, it would drive her away surely? He didn’t want her to think that he was being pushy, He wanted to say something but had no idea what to say.
Robert slid his hands down Emma’s body grabbing the hem of her nightdress he ripped the thing up and over her head. She arched her back into him as he kissed up her belly to her breasts. She as perfect. He cupped one of them as he played with her nipple suckling on the other Emma’s lips parted in desire. She looked up at him he had way too many clothes on. Her hands came to his t-shirt as she pulled it up and over his head. Why did he have so many clothes on she was breathless, how was she naked already.Grabbed her hands and tucked them behind her head smiling down at her he wanted to taste her and tease. His bulge was straining to be released from his jeans. He thrust his hips into her, letting her feel how much he wanted her. She parted her legs to allow him to get closer. Not being able to move her hands she nipped his lip. He stopped and looked at her raising his eyebrow. “Please Robert” she begged him. He released her hands; Emma instantly went to his belt fumbling to get it und
The screaming was unbearable; it had been going on since six am. Her mother was throwing crockery across the room; her dad was shouting obscenities at her mother. The neighbours had already banged on the door and been told to fuck off. The fighting was getting worse each day, like give it a rest already. If you don’t want to be with each other just break the hell up. Lucy buried her head under her pillow, the more they fought the more she knew it was time to move out. She was saving everything she could to get her own place. Another loud crash from downstairs had Lucy boiling with anger now. She got out of bed, got dressed and slammed her way into the front room, dodging a vase at it cam flying at the door she had just come through.“What the actual fuck do you two think you are playing at?” Lucy screamed in shock “How dare you treat each other like this, the neighbours have had enough and frankly so have I. You act like fucking children not bloody adults.” Lucy looked at both her pa
Emma was sat in her flat, Having not long woken up; her hair was tied back and her legs tucked under her as she sat on the bed, with the sun streaming through the open window, she loved her small flat it wasn’t anything fancy, but she was on her own out in the world. She picked up My Bear, her Teddy.“I’m not that boring to talk to am I Bear?” She spoke to him, Bear didn’t answer, “If only men were like you” she sighed “Didn’t answer back” she chuckled. She sat Bear down in front of her as he basked in his non- human glory. He was a Black Bear with a blue hoodie; Robert had brought him for her when they went to build a bear on a date. “So where was I? Oh yeah you are a good listener, listen to the songs on the Radio Bear, they all pants, there is nothing new! It’s just the same beat, with different words and that’s if there are words! It’s about time something new came out, something that blew peoples socks off.” Bear sat there in silence, “As much as I love you Bear you are no match
The usual place was the small Pizza Hut on the High Street. It was quite busy today; the blue sky had brought people out of their homes and into the town centre. At eleven o’clock James was the only person that hadn’t arrived. The seven friends chatted until he arrived five minutes later., He was half running and half walking towards them.“Finally, you set a time and you’re the one that’s late” Lucy chuckled at him, tapping her watch, James didn’t answer just grabbed her around the waist pulling her to him, kissing her with a growl.“Get a room guys” Robert laughed, “The world does not need to see how nauseatingly loved up you two are” “Robert!” Emma barked at him “We can be just as bad.” She crossed her arms and turned away from him, her nose in the air, Rover looked to the heavens and mouth “Why me” she was right they were just as bad. He spun Emma around taking her in his arms and tickling her. She laughed and he kissed her. IT was just like them, this was just how they were. Peo
James hung up the phone, shaking his head. He wished Lucy would move in with him, he’s place wasn’t much but it was so much better than living at home where she was always walking on eggshells. Her Mothers mood swings were something massive she dealt with, but she never let it get her down she was a real trooper but living like that was hell and he tried so hard to keep her spirits high. He knew it was time to bring up the subject of moving in with him again soon.He picked up his mobile again and found Emma in his contacts, he hit dial and waited for her to pick up. “Why are you ringing me again?” He laughed at the way she answered the phone. “I missed you Bestie!” Emma laughed, “Flattery”James relayed his and Lucys plans and checked that Emma was happy to join them. Emma jumped at the chance and said she would see them shortly. Hanging up the phone she ran upstairs to get ready. James shook his head, that woman was like a whirlwind. He selected Roberts Number next and dialled out.“
Lucy was at home, still living with her parents, she shook her head why she hadn’t moved out, yet she still didn’t know. Her mobile was downstairs she had nothing on it yet, Just Emma’s number. She felt so stupid still after dropping her phone in the lake. She laughed as she remembered watching James had jump in after it. He had tried so hard to get it before it sank. But it was too late. It was dead. She had popped the battery out and left it to dry in pieces over the course of the next few days, but she reluctantly had to go and get a new phone on Friday when she realised it was toast! Lucy heard the phone ringing downstairs and her mum walking across the hardwood floor to answer it. Her mum walked aback across the floor and shouted up the stairs to her. She got up from her bed and went downstairs. She picked up her mobile as she walked past it, maybe she should have kept this with her as she saw several missed calls.“Hi” Lucy said into the phone receiver.“Hey sweetie, I tried y
