Chapter 3 I had a one-night stand with his uncle!

I woke up, and it felt like my head would break into pieces. Damn! I will never drink alcohol again. Damn this hangover. I looked around to find my phone, but my eyes widened in horror when I realized I was not in my house.

This place is not my room! Where am I?! I searched the room with my eyes, only to realize I was in the hotel. Fear immediately rumbled in my chest, and it felt like I was splashed with cold water as soon as I discovered that this was not my room but a hotel room. And my body was naked under the white sheet!!! What had just happened?!

Quickly, I picked up my clothes, even though it was difficult for me to walk because of the pain in the middle of my thighs. I stopped picking up my clothes when I heard the splash of water coming from the shower as if someone was taking a shower there. I did not remove my sight of the bathroom door.

After a while, the water turned off, and I heard the door latch open. I suddenly held my breath while waiting for the bathroom door to open and waited for whoever was inside.

He went out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist to cover the lower part of his body. My eyes suddenly stopped at his six-pack abs. Damn! I had never seen this kind of body in person! He looked like a model of men’s underwear.

“Are you done staring at me?”

His blue eyes met mine.

I hurriedly stood up straight and gripped the blanket. So it wouldn’t fall easily because this blanket was the only thing that covered my sacred body.

“W-who are you? W-what did you do to me?” I stuttered.

His brows raised as he scoffed.

“Don’t you remember what you did last night?” He shook his head in disbelief.

I stepped backward as he tried to come near me until my back bumped the wall. He placed his hands on the wall, locking me in the middle. My head leveled his shoulders. So, he lowered his head to level mine. I gasped as our bodies were inches away from each other. I can even smell the citrus scent of his shampoo. Dammit! Now, I’m cornered. What would I do?

He raised my chin up. “You were so desperate last night, and now you acted innocent?” He said with his sexiest voice as he looked at me in the eye.

My knees wobbled, and I couldn’t stand for long. When this guy noticed me shaking. He smirked.

I wondered why I felt hot when the room was already cold.

“From what I remembered last night, you were so wild and desperate to have me. If I hadn’t known you were a virgin, I would have mistaken you for an expert on sleeping with men. You were so good last night. You were so good that we had a few more rounds. I even come several times inside your mouth.”

My eyes widened in shock. I couldn’t even talk back to this pervert. I felt like my face turned red. Clenching my fist, I am dying to cut his tongue right now.

“Y-you pervert!”

“Pervert?” He chuckled as if he had just heard a ridiculous joke.

I sighed in relief when he removed his hands from the wall. He turned while chuckling. I was about to pick up my clothes again when he caught me and pinned me on the wall, making the blanket that was only covering my naked body loosen, exposing my body to him. My face turned red. He suddenly looked at my body.

“Your body is so beautiful.” He said. I turned my head on the other side when he tried to kiss me on the lips.

“L-let go of me!” In my peripheral view, I saw him smirking before he stepped back and turned to go where his things were placed. I secretly sighed in relief. I thought he would not let me go.

I hurriedly picked up the blanket and covered it back to my body, getting my clothes before I ran into the bathroom to change.

He was sitting on the chair with his legs crossed while playing a calling card in his hand. When he noticed me, he stood up and put one hand in his pocket while the other still held the card.

My brows furrowed when he handed over the calling card he was holding. “Take this. Call me when you need help.” He said.

I looked at the card and shook my head. “Thank you, but I don’t need that. Let’s just forget everything that happened last night, and I hope this will be our first and last encounter.” I said before I finally walked out of the hotel room and left him inside.

Two weeks later…

The sun was glowing, and my white polo shirt was getting wet from my sweat. I’ve been standing in a long line for three hours to apply for a new job. Damn. I should have at least brought a fan and not relied on the mini battery-operated fan I brought with me without an extra power bank. Argh! Now I am patiently fanning the envelope where I put my documents, like my CV. I just hope my files inside don’t get crumpled.

I looked up at the 20-story building owned by one of the famous business tycoons of this country. Reed Services Incorporated. They are the top among the services companies in this country. One of their business is a cleaning service, which I want to apply.

I sighed in relief when, after three hours, I finally got into the building. It never crossed my mind that they were on a massive hiring spree. I even saw some familiar faces from my previous work. Maybe they were trying to get their luck to apply here, too. I shrugged at that thought.

I looked around and frowned when I saw Mico Mendez talking to a man in a suit. I scoffed. Who is that man? Maybe his boyfriend, too. How about Lucas? I snorted. It’s up to them. I don't want to interfere. We’re done, and I don’t care what he wants to do with his life.

His eyes wandered when he turned around, and our eyes met. I glared at him before I focused on the lane. In my peripheral view, I can see him coming.

“Aurora,” he greeted me, but I did not respond.

“Why are you here? Are you applying for a job?”

I snorted at his question. Isn’t it obvious? What would he expect me to do here?

“What do you think am I doing here?” I asked sarcastically and rolled my eyes in annoyance.

He looked at the lane and sighed with his shoulders shrugged. “I can help you.”

I raised an eyebrow and looked at him in disbelief. “My uncle owns this company. I can direct you to him, so you don’t have to line up here.”

His offer looks enticing, but I have my pride. After everything he’s done to me, I don’t want to be in debt to him.

“Thanks. But no thanks. I don’t need your help.”

He sighed. “Let me help you. At least I can make up for what I did to you.”

Well, his offer sounds good. I don’t have to stand in line here and hope to be accepted because of the number of applicants. They might not choose to hire me. Also, I have to find a job.

I heaved a sigh. “Fine.” I could see the happiness in his eyes.

He held my hand and pulled me out of my line. I hope that this would be a good idea. Because I don’t know what to do if I lose my chance to work here.

But I wondered if his uncle knew about him.

“Did he know about your identity?” He shook his head.

“My uncle is five years older than me. And we grew up abroad together. But aside from that, I was too careful to expose my identity to him. So, I hope you will not tell Uncle Yvan about my identity. Also, my uncle is too meticulous about everything. So please, don’t tell him what you knew about me.”

I nodded like I understood what he was talking about. We reached the top floor and stood up in front of the door. CEO’s office. Mico knocked three times before we entered the room.

I could see the familiar guy from the lobby earlier. The one Mico was talking with a while ago. So, this is his uncle? He is too young.

“Max, this is Aurora Mendez Smith, my girlfriend. She’s applying for a job. Please help him.”

Did I hear it right? I thought the name of his uncle was Yvan? Why was he calling him Max? I wondered.

“There is a line of applicants in the lobby. That’s where she should go.”

I got jolted when I heard a domineering voice. Who was that? Suddenly, the swivel chair turned to face us, and my eyes widened in surprise to see who had suddenly talked earlier.

He was the guy I had a one-night stand two weeks ago!

“Uncle,” I heard Mico call him.

“Uncle?!”

Did I just hear it right? He said, ‘Uncle?’ Damn! I never thought I had a one-night stand with his uncle!

I met his gaze, and right now, I wanted to dig a hole and bury myself. I looked away cause I couldn’t stare at him for too long, and I even tried to cover my face with my hand so he couldn’t recognize me.

“This is Aurora Mendez Smith. She’s-” I turned my gaze on Mico, who was also looking at me.

“She’s my girlfriend. I saw her lining up together with other applicants earlier. So, I wanted to help her.”

I pulled the hem of Mico’s shirt to get his attention. He raised his brows, waiting for the word I had to say.

“He’s your uncle? Why did you keep introducing me as your girlfriend to others? When we already broke up two weeks ago.” I whispered as I reminded him about what he did to me two weeks ago.

I even signaled to Mico, using my eyes to the door to tell him I wanted to get out of this room. But Mico was oblivious to what I was talking to him about. I sighed exasperatedly.

“I-I think I’m good. Thank you for your help, but I remembered I had another call from the other company-” I was ready to leave when Mico’s uncle spoke.

“Leave her here. I wanted to interview her alone.” I shivered when I heard his voice commanding Mico to leave.

I looked at Mico, trying to ask for help, but I could see him looking puzzled. Maybe he was wondering why I acted like this.

“Oh, please, Mico. Don’t leave me with your uncle. I promise I will forgive you for what you have done to me.” I whispered.

“Why?” He asked confusedly. But I did not answer.

I couldn’t tell Mico that I had slept with his uncle two weeks ago. Cause it would be embarrassing.

“Don’t worry, Uncle Yvan is a good person. I know he will hire you.” Mico smiled at me as if he reassured me everything would be fine.

I sighed in frustration, but I needed to keep the anxiousness that I was feeling. I don’t want Mico to know about it.

“But don’t leave us here,” I pled, grasping his arm like a baby who doesn’t want to be left by parents. But our conversation ended when we heard a cough.

Mico looked at his uncle before he smiled apologetically. He even mouthed ‘sorry’ before he said, “Good luck” to me.

I knew Mico wanted to cheer me up, but it didn’t help as he had already left together with his uncle’s secretary. I gulped as the door closed after they left me with Mico’s uncle. What should I do now?

I could hear from my back that Mico’s uncle, Yvan Reed, moved. I turned to look at him. He stood up from his seat. His eyes met mine, and I felt like I was going to melt with his stares.
