“Caterina, are you okay?” Adrain asked and she moved her eyes to Adrain.

“I was supposed to take care of the patient with you,” she said.

“Oh. He was brought in while you were busy, and I decided to have Grace work with me since she is just joining us,” Adrian smiled at me before turning back at her.

Caterina didn’t smile back. Her expression remained unreadable, and her eyes flickered to me, then once more to the man on the bed.

“I see,” she said slowly with her voice low.
