A dinner date eating fresh vegetables was very enticing and I enjoyed every single bit of it and went to sleep with a smile on my face. Maybe this would become a sanctuary of mine that would last for a long time.

The next morning, Armin was no longer in bed so I assumed he was in the bedroom but when I got there, he wasn't there.

I freshened up and got dressed in a very elegant green dress and white flats. I tried to do my makeup and it ended up pretty good. I felt amazing and I looked exactly like how I felt so I took a selfie and posted it on I*******m with the caption, feeling good.

Then I placed my phone on the table and proceeded to slip on a few pieces of jewelry around my neck, wrists and ankles.

I walked out of the room and to the dinning room. On the way, I met some certain elegant people who looked like they were from prestigious families.

I looked at the man in a white suit who looked pretty important. Surprisingly, our eyes met. I looked away out of courtesy only to see that he was walking towards me.

So I paused and turned to look at him as he stopped a few metres in front of me.

“Do I know you?” I asked suspiciously.

The man had dark brown eyes, straight nose and plump lips. His jawline was sharp and his physique was pretty average.  He wasn't bad.

“You might not know me but I do know you. My name is Mikel and I'm a fan of you, honeypie.”

My eyes widened. That was my I*******m name.

He knew me from I*******m?!

How could he recognise me so easily? And this man had a nice deep voice too.

“How did you recognise me so easily and quickly? I only created the account yesterday.”

“You don't look too different from the pictures you post but now that I'm seeing you in person, I have to admit, you're even more astounding. And in the photo you posted a few minutes ago, you were wearing this dress. I instantly recognised it.”

“Wow.” I was blown away.

I met one of my fans in real life already? Wasn't that just amazing!

“If you don't mind, can we have breakfast together? I'd like to know more about you.”

“Sure!” I said without hesitation, “I'm here with someone though.”

“Who? Your boyfriend?” He asked, his eyebrow raised. He seemed genuinely interested in knowing.

I laughed, “I'm here with my husband, we're here for our honeymoon.”

Mikel stared down, his mouth twitched to the side.

“Oh!”

I was astounded by how disappointed he looked and he didn't make any effort to hide it either. I smiled. Was he sad because he thought he wouldn't be able to talk to me because of Armin? Luckily, my husband wasn't petty.

“Don't worry,” I cooed with a smile, “We can still have breakfast together and talk. My husband isn't petty.”

“B-but why is Tentin your husband? I thought you two were besties or like dating each other..”

I was surprised he thought like that. Tentin and I were literally bestie goals and I posted about it so did Tentin. It wouldn't be good if Armin misunderstood.. No— Armin probably wouldn't misunderstood me, he knew me and Tentin better than anyone else and besides we only just met recently.

“Tentin and I are friends. My husband is someone else,” I said, “I'll introduce you to him if I see him.”

“Okay then. It's a pleasure to be able to dine with you, Honeypie.”

“Likewise,” I smiled, “But just call me Jasmine. Calling me honeypie in public is kinda weird.”

Mickel chuckled and fixed his tie before running his hand through his black hair nervously. “Of course.”

I smiled and led him to the hotel's dinning room. I hadn't been there before but I could figure the entire hotel out with just a whiff of my nose.

For me, being a wolf had a lot of perks especially with the fact that I'd been trained to use my gifts quite really okay.

I entered the dinning room with Mickel by my side and we occupied a table by the corner. The waiter walked towards us and took our orders.

Mickel ordered chicken, turkey and pork with three bottles of alcohol while I opted for a simple salad.

I had no judgement on people whatsoever. As wolves, it was normal for us to eat a lot but I could sense the man in front of me was human so how could he eat so much meat in one go. Was he that hungry?

I kinda looked forward to it.  It would be interesting to watch a human eat there huge sized meat at once along with three bottles of liquor.

Even Armin couldn't stomach too many meat at once.

He once told me the first meat he ate was his father's.

When he was a baby, he was kidnapped but no one knew because the Luna, Becky didn't leave her room and socialize to hide this secret. The Alpha of the pack, Joonse also shut down the rumours so the pack wouldn't panic.

Armin was the first son ever born and losing the heir to the throne would plunge the pack into mayhem.

Secretly, the Alpha started to dig into the matter but was unsuccessful. After three years passed, he found a clue.

Alone, he went to save his son and was successful. Only that the journey back home was too far and they were In another continent— Africa.

The most deserted islands with no fruits or single drop of water from the earth.

Armin was a kid— Without food or water, he would be the first to wither and die. With no animals around, Armin's father had to slowly cut parts of himself to feed him.

Even though this incident happened a long time ago, Armin remembered it and couldn't bring himself to eat meat.

Meat was his trigger and i tried to avoid eating it in front of him as much as I could.

“So, Jasmine, what do you do?”

“Erm..” I trailed off.

When I was younger, I used to receive a lot of items for winning competitions.

I also used to get rid of rouges that couldn't be safely secured in the pack's dungeon.

Throughout these years, I'd gain enough prestige and social status among the wolves. In order not to scare the humans, we were low-key in our dealings so I was literally a nobody in the human world.

Although I had a lot of lands in my name and assets, they were only valuable in the eyes of fellow wolves.

Along with the inheritance I received from my grandparents, I didn't need to work to get anything I wanted.

I also had people willing to give me everything I wanted so I didn't need to work for anything.

But then I remembered, I used to teach my fellow pack members new moves. In the human world, that profession would be called teaching.

I smiled, “I'm a teacher.”

Mickel laughed as the waiter delivered our order and gently arranged them on the table.

“Is that why you only ordered salad?”

“Excuse me?” I said, confused by the sudden smug look on his face.

“Waiter,” Mickel said before the waiter was out of sight.

“Yes sir?” The waiter asked.

“Get my date a plate of spaghetti and a lot of meatballs along with two bottles of red wine.”

“Don't bother,” I said. “I'm not that hungry.”

“No, I insist! I'll pay so don't worry about the cost.” Mickel said a bit too loudly and chuckled as more people looked our way.

I was beginning to feel irritated by Mickel's sudden attitude.

“I.. am the CEO of Mackelson pharmaceutical Industries.”

I had heard of the industry before, it was one of the top five industries known for making the best drugs in the whole of usa but in my opinion, it wasn't that good. Kimani pharmaceutical industries was better even though it was rated the fifth best. Apart from producing good medicine, it produced the best skincare products along with great makeup and perfume. I had some of their skincare products and perfume.

Kimani pharmaceutical industries headquarters was in Africa, Nigeria to be precise but it had extended offices in a few other countries including U.S.A

“So your full name is Mikel Steve Mackelson. What a unique name you have there.” I complimented.

The waiter arrived and placed the food in front of me.

“Eat,” Mickel said. “My treat.”

I frowned.

“I bet you lied about being married and could only come here by being a married man's whore. Instead of living your life like that, why don't you be my woman?” He said, the smug smile on his face increasing.

Without thinking, my fingers instinctively grabbed the tray of food in front of me and slammed it into Mickel's face.

Angrily, I clenched my fists in disbelief of how I met someone as crazy as this in disguise of a decent person.

It was beyond surprising to me.

Mickel growled angrily and tossed the table to the side, shattering all of the dishes.

I took from the chair and took a few steps away from the crazy dude who now had his suit stained with sauce.

“You crazy bitch!” He yelled and rushed towards me.

I sighed. Thankfully there were a lot of people watching, if he got hurt, it would be recorded as self defense.

If they asked why I hit him first, I would just say it's because he defamed my character but since there was no proof, he would deal with no consequences.

Angrily, I punched his face without holding back and he fell into the pile of scattered dishes and table.

Just then the security rushed in, immediately seizing me.

“Jasmine!” A familiar voice yelled from the distance.

Emily’s POV He looked so pathetic in that chair. Jacob—once towering, once terrifying, once the name whispered with reverence throughout the lands—now hunched over a desk like a frightened scribe. His hand trembled as he dipped the quill into ink, smearing black across the edge of the parchment. Sweat beaded on his forehead, lips pressed tight in pain. The poison had settled into his bones by now. It wouldn’t kill him quickly. That would’ve been too kind. I leaned against the cold stone wall, arms folded, and said nothing as he scrawled the final sentence. “…and with this letter, I hereby declare Emily Aldane as the rightful Alpha of Galahad Pack, worthy of your allegiance, worthy of your fear.” He paused. Then, begrudgingly, signed his name. Jacob. I stepped forward slowly, the sound of my boots echoing through the silent chamber. The guard at the door stiffened at my presence. “Send them,” I ordered. “Now.” The guard took the sealed letters with a nod and hurried off into

“I'll help you find proof.” Karina said, interupting my thoughts.“Huh?” I turned to face her.“Why? Didn't you say..”“I said I had no intentions of being friends with you after the problem is solved but we can still work together for now. You'll need all the help you can get.”She was right.“So.. can you bring me my phone from my mother's cabin, I need to contact my husband and makes sure he knows I'm safe—”“—Blah blah blah,” Karina said. “I won't be helping you do that because we're not close!”I knew but I still wanted to give a shot. I didn't want Armin to worry about me or rush down and create a scene but I also knew better than to try and urge Karina. She was a straight forward person, there was no changing her mind.“So what do I do now?” I wasn't sure.My approach to solving issues was barging into the situation and pulling it by the horn but I knew I had to craft out a strong plan and be pragmatic like Armin in his approach.“I'd tell you to go immediately to the building

We stopped talking about two years ago. It was beyond shocking that she saved me.“You saved me?” I voiced, very grateful that I didn't die. Armin would be so pissed if I died so pathetically.“Yes, it's not like you'd die due to a fall anyways. Look at you, you're perfectly fine now.”I swung my arms and moved my feet. It kinda hurt.I moved it back to it's proper place and it made a crack sound.Karina winced and looked at me irritatedly, “Does that not hurt?”I looked at her briefly, “It does.”Ka
