CHAPTER TWENTY TWO

“I'll help you find proof.” Karina said, interupting my thoughts.

“Huh?” I turned to face her.

“Why? Didn't you say..”

“I said I had no intentions of being friends with you after the problem is solved but we can still work together for now. You'll need all the help you can get.”

She was right.

“So.. can you bring me my phone from my mother's cabin, I need to contact my husband and makes sure he knows I'm safe—”

“—Blah blah blah,” Karina said. “I won't be helping you do that because we're not close!”

I knew but I still wanted to give a shot. I didn't want Armin to worry about me or rush down and create a scene but I also knew better than to try and urge Karina.

She was a straight forward person, there was no changing her mind.

“So what do I do now?” I wasn't sure.

My approach to solving issues was barging into the situation and pulling it by the horn but I knew I had to craft out a strong plan and be pragmatic like Armin in his approach.

“I'd tell you to go immediately to the building
