Chapter 10: The Chores

Eliana’s Point of view

I cleaned the house and prepared the meal, but Caleb still had not arrived. After he left earlier, my heart skipped a beat. Caleb is overthinking, but I can’t help but smile. He is now going outside. Even though I am just a few days here, I saw how he avoids going outside, but now he seems happy going out. Perhaps the fresh air puts him in a good mood. It is a good thing, and I can ask him to help me go to a doctor.

“Ouch!” The pain on my scar suddenly immersed again. I shut my eyes, feeling someone looking out of me. I try to get up, but I stumble on the floor. Suddenly, I heard footsteps approaching the mansion. I blinked my eyes and saw a glowing red outside the window. I crease my forehead, “Caleb,” I whisper as I hold the chair to get up.

“Who are you?” I heard Caleb’s voice. My eyes widened, averting my gaze to the glowing red I saw on the window, but it had already vanished. What was that? I gulp down, fighting the pain until I endure it. “Caleb!” I s
