Chapter: 3 ( Logan Past)

_{“One more push, honey,” the man coached, as the woman cried out in agony and continued to push. With each push, the woman gripped the bed rails tightly while her legs remained propped up. The man asked the doctor, "How much longer?"}

_{"Almost there, Alpha, I can see the head, keep going Luna!" the female doctor urged.}

_{Alpha comforted his Luna, who was in pain, by her bedside. Seeing her suffer, he felt a deep internal ache and wished to comfort her. Upon realizing the difficulty of childbirth, he resolved to appreciate Luna more for her Herculean efforts in bringing his child into the world. “Almost there, Luna, the head is out, just one more big push,” the doctor urged. Luna summoned every ounce of her being, took a deep breath, and unleashed a powerful growl. Such a loud growl shook the windows of that room. She pushed with all her might, not stopping until she heard a baby cry. She felt relieved and relaxed. To clean the baby, the doctor took it out of the room.}

_{Approaching his Luna, Alpha proudly kissed her and expressed his pride.}

_{“Lina, you've made me the happiest man alive.”}

_{So much pushing left Lina so drained that a cracked smile was all she could muster. “Eugene, I wanted to know if you saw how our baby looked?” Lina asks, trying to sit up.}

_{“I only saw a small part of the baby before the doctor cleaned it,” Eugene explained.}

_{“I can hardly wait to meet the baby. I am wondering if it's a girl or a boy?” Lina inquires.}

_{The doctor walked in with a baby, wrapped in a white blanket with a pink and blue cap, interrupting Eugene before he could say anything. The doctor, smiling, approached Alpha and Luna, saying, "Time to meet your baby boy! With the baby in Alpha Eugene’s arms after she handed it to him, a tear welled in his eye as he looked at his son. The feeling of helping create life was incredible.}

_{Snapped from his trance, he heard someone call out, “Eugene, I want to hold the baby.” Lina stated. Lina receives the baby from Eugene's careful hands. Overwhelmed with joy, Lina cried when she held the baby. Looking up at Eugene, she announced, “I think I've chosen a name for the baby.”}

_{“Alright, what name should we give him?”} 

_{“I’m going to call him Logan,” Luna said.}

_{Alpha Eugene stood there and thought for a minute about the name's sound, and then he let out a smile. "Logan, that's what it should be."}

_{“Logan Xavier Winchester, get in here and clean your room!” his mom yelled from outside.}

_{"Mom, I'll do it later, I'm playing with Julian and Simone," Logan said, engrossed in their game of "Catch a Wolf. Before Lina could answer, a booming voice from Eugene, who stood there with an angry look in his eyes, challenged, “You dare talk back to your mother?”  Logan and his friends were frightened by Eugene's anger. Eugene believes that perpetual dominance defines what it means to be an Alpha. Similar to how he shows respect towards others, he also requires respect from them. Another factor contributing to people's fear of him is Eugene's physical appearance - standing at approximately 6’4, he possesses a muscular frame, attractive caramel skin, and light green eyes. Respecting others is the most important lesson he wants Logan to learn.}

_{"Dad, I'm sorry," Logan mumbled, eyes fixed on his feet.}

_{"Your disrespect towards your mother requires an apology, Logan," Eugene said angrily.}

_{"Mom, I'm so sorry; I promise it won't happen again," Logan said sadly.}

_{Son, as the future Alpha, remember our teachings: always respect yourself and those around you, including your mother and me. Eugene hinted.}

_{Unable to resist Logan's sad puppy-dog eyes, Lina felt compassion for her son. To her, he is not a 10-year-old, but the precious baby she held each night.}

_{“Eugene, don’t worry, children will be children, and boys will be boys, especially your son,” Lina said.}

_{“Lina, that is beside the point; failure to discipline will spoil the child. This behavior is unacceptable as it prevents him from learning from his mistakes. Continuing down this rebellious path will prevent him from ever leading this pack,” Eugene points out.}

_{"Eugene, I agree. Let's be understanding; he's our son," Lina says.}

_{Eugene responded with a grin, "Fine, if you're going to push me," before turning his gaze towards Logan, who continued to look at the ground. Eugene, knowing his son feared him, went to Logan and said, "I apologize for shouting, but you were wrong to disrespect your mother."}

_{Logan responded, "I know, Dad, and I apologize again."}

_{A sincere apology is what your mother needs, not one from me; please apologize to her properly this time. "Your mother deserves your utmost respect, she gave you life, now do as she says," Eugene emphasized.}

_{"Yes, sir," Logan answered, approaching his mother for an embrace, obeying his father.}

_{Eugene faces Julian and Simone, saying, "It's time for both of you to go home. You both and Logan have your first training session tomorrow morning, so get some rest.}

_{"Yes, Alpha," they both replied.}

_{“Julian tells your dad that we need to meet later on tonight to discuss pack business.” Eugene let out a sigh.}

_{"Alright Alpha, I'll tell him," Julian yelled.}

_{Eugene goes back inside the house and yells, "Baby, where are you?"}

_{"I'm cooking in the kitchen," Lina stated.}

_{Eugene went into the kitchen and saw Lina with her back to him. Approaching Lina, Eugene puts his arms around her waist, then kisses her neck where his mark is. Lina feels a shiver of excitement as Zelda her wolf continues to purr and run in circles after the kiss.}

_{Zelda confessed to Lina, "I'm powerless against this affection."}

_{Lina acknowledges, "Zelda, I'm well aware that Eugene enjoys getting a rise out of me occasionally, and now I'm about to go crazy."}

_{Lina turned to face him and pulled him close, their tongues meeting and causing a jolt of electricity between them. Just as they were about to explore further, they overheard Logan exclaim to his mom, "I'm finished cleaning my room—ew, get a room, you two! Eugene and Lina ended their kiss with laughter at Logan's remark. Logan, could you please set the table? Lina responded, “Dinner will be served shortly.”}

_{"Okay, Mom," Logan said as he went to get the dishes. Back in the kitchen, Lina retrieved a knife, cut up some vegetables in a bowl, having just left the dining room. Approaching Lina, Eugene leans in and murmurs, “We're going for a run tonight to conclude what we began.”}

_{“I hope you and Zeus are ready because Zelda and I are purring our hearts out, and my pussy is throbbing right now.” Lina sighed.}

_{Eugene's face flushed crimson; before he could continue, the oven beeped, signaling dinner was ready. Proceeding to the stove, Lina retrieved the roast and rolls, then got a large serving platter from the cupboard. The roast was laid on the counter; she got a knife and sliced it, transferring the pieces to a serving plate. From the refrigerator, Eugene took a bottle of lemonade, putting it on the counter before going to the cabin for a small blue bowl to arrange dinner rolls on the table. With that task complete, he collected the bowl and lemonade, turning to Lina with, "I'll see you out there."}

_{She said, "All right, I'll be right out."}

_{Eugene exited the kitchen and proceeded to the dining room with its table. Logan arranged plates, cups, and silverware on the table. In the center of the table, Eugene puts the lemonade and dinner rolls. From the head of the table, Eugene observed Logan engrossed in his comic book. Lina produced the food and placed it on the table within minutes. Dinner was roast, mashed potatoes, salad, and dinner rolls. Lina started by fixing plates, giving one to Eugene, then Logan, before finally making and eating her own. Eugene addressed Logan, reminding him, "Logan, don't forget, you and your friends commence training at 6 a.m. tomorrow."}

_{"Six a.m.? That's too early, Dad! I want to sleep late and watch cartoons," Logan protested.}

_{Logan, as the future alpha, you'll receive training; it's one of the perks. War demands you learn to protect and lead our group to victory. “As I mentioned, you should get to bed early and be ready for tomorrow,” Eugene said.}

_{Logan, your dad is right, this comes with being an alpha. Lina smiled, "I genuinely believe you'll make a fine alpha."}

_{"Okay, Mom, if you say so," Logan said.}

_{Once everything concluded, silence ensued. After dinner, Eugene prepared to leave for a meeting with Mitchell Woods, his Beta. Before he could leave, he kissed Lina on her forehead and embraced her; from there, Eugene whispered in her ear, “Be ready when I come back” he headed to the doorway.}

_{Blushing, Lina brought her hands to her mouth. "Logan, it's time for bed," she said.}
