Elise trailed her fingers on the roses, she had been staring at them for ten minutes straight.

Damien was seated on the couch, watching her. He didn't like how some roses got her so distracted. Although he shouldn't feel threatened that it came from a fan, the type of flower and the note weren't something to be taken lightly.

Juliet roses were too rare and extremely expensive. A normal fan wouldn't go that far to get something like that for a celebrity.

Damien suspected that the flowers were from Roman, but he doubted that Roman would be anonymous about it.

"I'm so touched by this fan's act. This is so beautiful," Elise beamed.

"You should stop staring at it already. You should stare at me, just like you did when I was in the hospital. Or does the nice treatment end after being discharged?" Damien asked, his voice low.

"Quit being jealous of a stranger," Elise giggled and walked over to him. She sat by his side and circled her hands around him.
