Chapter 3- Her true colors

She's always on her phone ,getting foods burnt

The day was fine,cool day as the sky was very bright
Dr Ryan was going round the wards with some nurses in a ward round
After checking the heartbeat and the temperature of the last patient in the ward, he had an over powering urge to surprise his wife with a dress he had seen in a boutique on his way to work
Back in his office, he attended to two to three patient more and rounded up as he handed the rest over to his colleague
"Excuse me for a while ! He told his colleague on entering his office
Whose name was Dr Anthony but was popularly called Tony
"Where are you going this time around? Tony asked him in amusement
"I want to pick something important at a nearby boutique for my wife"
"Are you sure you are not going to see her? She really has turned you crazy that a moment without her seems a century to you " Tony teased him
"Not so ,I will be back in a jiffy"
"I envy you so much, I will not wait to marry as well" Tony stated in a serious voice
"That is your headache, how many times have I told you that? Dr Ryan said in jest
His car key dangling in his hands
"But you choose philandering about with white girl"
"I never knew that married life could be so blissful until I see how dearly you are to your wife"
"It is! With that he left Tony's office to the hospital parking space
He entered the car and drove to the boutique
"How much do you see that? He asks the mam he saw there
"Its worth 500 pounds" The man replied
"Am paying 350"
"Its too low sir, the fibers is high lately"
"Okay I will pay 400"

Dr Ryan was surely brimming with joy as he was about to press the door bell of his house
Nothing please him like giving his wife a surprise gift especially as they had had a quarrel in the morning
As he pressed on the bell , he could hear music of Tevi Campbell playing inside
He waited patiently for his wife to open up
He could bet she will love the cloth

Sonia's heart skipped a beat with the tinking of the door bell
With her mind wandering who it could be at that time of the day
She want expecting any one
And she wasn't expecting her husband till around 14pm
"But you told me you are not expecting your husband by this time? The fine looking black american called Charles Dickson , who was also her neigbour asked as he was struggling into his clothes
Yes of course" her voice was panicky as she was struggling to her own clothes

She led him into a rarely used store where he was to hide
Just when the door bell rang again
Coming back she sprayed the living room were Charles had been smoking with a house fragence with the aim of wiping the odour
After tidying up the living room she used her hand to rub in her eyes thus trying to create impression that she had been sleeping
She bolted the door at the the same time yawning ,
A stifling made belief yawn all In her aim to deceive whoever was at the door
She was dazed to see her husband although she struggled not to to show her feelings
"Sorry dear , I disturbed you'' Dr Ryan apologized quickly noticing her sleep blurred eyes in addition to her yawn
"No problem" Her face split in a warm smile that boiled her feelings
"Did you forgot anything?
She made no effort to step in for him to enter the house
"Yes, I did!
"But you didnt call to tell me that you are coming ?
"What does it matter or do you want me to go back? He asked entering the house
"It does ,At least I would have been aware and would have prepared something for you, or it appears you do not trust me again?
"What! Why are you talking like this ? He asked confused
He flopped down on one of the couches nearest to him in the living room
"Who told you that I do not trust you?
She shrugged pretending to be angry
"I did not see why you should prefer to barge in on me like this"
"Am sorry if that is the way you feel about it" He walked up to the dining room still carrying the big nylon bag which his wife ought to have taken from him as demanded by good manners
Either she was not brought up to know that or that her state of unease at that moment did not allow her use her senses
It was when he finished drinking water, and was about to leave the entrance door that he flung the bag at her
"That is for you"
"What is that?Her tone of voice was low with the view not to attract him to stay back
"See you later in the day"He told her, walking out of the door to his car
Immediately she watched him drive off through the glass window ,
She breathed in a great sign of relief, she did not remember the nylon bag again with whatever it contained
She ran to release Charles .
Dr Ryan has been pacing to and fro in his living room full on anxiety
Tugging at his clothes were his three children , Two boys and a girl.
The eldest son named Joshua was Five , The second son was Three named Dave ,The last being a girl named Faith was two years
The children had even crying for not seeing their that evening
She had turned into what he could not describe in words
The situation was further worsened by the fact that sh had started working
Since he had warned her about her late arrival from work, together with her obvious nonchalant attitude towards her family , there had been some changes from her for sometimes
She seemed to have mellowed by that warning, With time however she relapsed into her old self
He had thought that the rigorous effort motherhood involved would have keep her busy an changed her for good
It had not, She was the sort that cared less about her family
It ran in her blood, The nonstop crying of the children made him to be annoyed
From time to time he would look out of the window to know if he would see her returning home
The day was fast turning into dusk.With his phone on his hand , he kept trying her number to no avail
He later decided to go to his colleague house Dr Anthony
Who also doubled as his friend ,Tony was his best man during his wedding ,since after the wedding , his closeness with him had grown so well
He could not wait for his seasonal advice that night ,lest, he was ready to kill his wife whenever she came back
He dressed up in a haste, dressed up the kids as well . He took them out to his car , and drove off

Tony was on his bed with Sonia when they both heard the door bell
It was ignored pending when it rang again
"Do I answer the door? Sonia asked him with the intention of seeing and daring Tony's girlfriend whom she had warned many times to steer clear of Tony for her
"Do not bother, I will go" Tony volunteered getting up from his bed
"Or do we ignore it? Let us just ignore it She suggested
Tony smiled as he looked at the beautiful woman on his bed who was equally his friends wife
Since they started sleeping together,two days after she arrived to London, The thought of getting married had scarcely crossed his mind
As she has a very way of satisfying him in bed, how he wishes that their good times were not disturb at that moment
"Do not worry sweetie , I have a colleague I'm expecting from Nigerian to bring me vital news from home, I guess he may be the person at the door . He got up and slid into his boxers over a tee-shirts
"Make it snappy honey"
"Do you not trust me? I will not be a second more than necessary, I cannot wait to be in your arm" he slurred
She watched him with joy walks out from the bedroom closing the door being him

The door bell went again as if in response to his question
"I am here" he shouted turning on the key on his lock
His mouth fell open on seeing Dr Ryan with his children at the door

"You are welcome, why this night with the children? He asked in a voice he could hardly recognize as his
He swung Dave up in an attempt to control I'm self
"I have not seen my wife up till now"Dr Ryan said sadly as he followed him into his living room, clung to by his two others children
