CHAPTER 02

Neha stepped out of the car and started walking towards the University gates.  She was walking towards her department when someone grabbed her by her elbow and pulled her at the corner. She would have screamed if she wouldn't have known that her greedy fiancee, Arman, is the only person in the world who could do something like this. "What the hell is wrong with you Arman?" Neha yelled at him.

"Whatever, my birthday is close as you know. What are you planning to give me this time?" Arman asked.

"A bottle filled with poison would do, right?" Neha replied sarcastically.

"I told my friend that you are giving me a Rolex watch with iPhone X." Arman replied.

"Yes, in your dreams. I'm not giving you anything." Neha replied in an angry tone.

Arman grabbed her by her arms and pinned her by the wall. "I already have told my friends, now you have to give me a Rolex watch and an iPhone or you'll regret the consequences." Arman replied through his gritted teeth.

"Aaaooo, Arman let me go. You are hurting me." Neha cried in pain.

"What's going on here? You again, how many times do I have to tell you that you are not allowed in the students area of this University, unless you are or were or will be a student." Professor Ali said angrily. Professor Riaz Ali was Neha's English professor and he had known her since she was born. Professor Ali was a cousin of Samad and Arshad. Their fathers were siblings. He had always looked after Neha because he knew that Neha's fiance is not a good man.

"Come on uncle, I'm just here to meet my fiance, why are you so angry?" Arman replied.

"Professor, I am a professor here. And as for your meeting with your fiance…" professor Ali turned towards the guard and yelled. "... Guard." The guard heard professor Ali and came running.

"Yes professor?" The security guard asked.

"Next time if I see this man in this University, I'll make sure you will be fired the very next day. Now throw him out or you want to get fired now and here?" Professor Ali roared at the guard. He shook his head and dragged Arman out of the University.

"Thank you professor." Neha said as she wiped off the tears.

"It's okay kid. I don't know what your father had seen in him. He ain't deserve you." Professor Ali said in a disappointed tone.

"I have no idea. I hope my God will save me from this animal." Neha replied between her quiet sobs.

"Go to your class Neha. It's time." Professor Ali said and patted her head.

"Okay Sir, have a great day." She replied and went towards her class.

"I wish my God will save you from this ill-literate animal. And Grant you a wise and loving man, who isn't greedy. Amen." Professor Ali prayed for Neha and went to attend his class.

------------------------------------------------

Neha was walking towards her class when she saw her best friend, Zara. "Hey Zara, have you prepared for today's test? Professor Khan will eat all who aren't prepared." Neha asked her friend.

"Neha, you are the biggest mood killer in the world. And yes, I am all prepared for the test." Zara replied." What happened to your face?" Zara added.

"Nothing, why?" Neha asked back.

"You have a face that says I have seen my jerky fiance today." Zara replied.

"That's because I had seen his face this morning. He again created a scene in the University. What a jerk." Neha replied.

"Are you kidding me? What does he want now?" Zara asked angrily.

"His birthday is coming and he told his friends that I'm giving him a Rolex watch and iPhone X. Can you imagine, he does this to me every year and nobody stops him. I don't know why baba had chosen that jerk for me?" Neha replied and her eyes moisted up.

"You should ask you Chachu again. Just tell him you don't want to be with him." Zara advised her friend.

"Like he's ever going to hear. You have no idea, Chachi and bhaiya had fought him for me, but he only says that baba fixed me and I will be married to him whether I want or not." Neha replied and a tear escaped her eye. She wiped it off and kept walking.

"I'm so sorry Neha, if I would have a brother, I would have fixed you with him. But I can't do anything for you." Zara replied. She pulled Neha in a sisterly hug. "I hope someone will save you from that jerk." Zara prayed for her best friend.

"Amen. Thank you Zara." Neha thanked her.

"Now let's get that test done." Zara said and pulled Neha in their class.

Whole day Neha was busy with her different classes and practicals. Neha didn't notice that her friend was nowhere to be found. It was 6 in the evening when she was ready to go back home and looked for her friend. She looked everywhere, even asked around to find her but she didn't find her. At last she called her number. It rang three times then Zara picked up.

"Hey, what's up?" Zara said from the other side of the line.

"Where the hell are you Zara? I am looking for you everywhere." Neha yelled at her friend.

"Oh, why are you looking for me?" Zara asked back in confusion.

"What the hell Zara? Didn't I tell you I'll be going home with you today?"  Neha yelled again.

"Oops! I'm so sorry Neha. I literally forgot, I'm home actually. Why don't you call Mustafa Bhai? He'll pick you up." Zara replied sweetly.

"Thanks for your advice, you are good for nothing Zara." Neha huffed in anger and hung up. She sighed and started walking towards the gates.

"At this time I won't be able to find any University bus. I have to walk to the bus stand to get myself a ride." She thought and kept walking. She stepped out of the University boundaries and started walking towards the bus stand. She looked around, she was walking alone, there was no one else. She got a bit terrified, but kept walking. A few minutes later she heard an engine roar, she looked behind but found nothing. She shook her head and kept walking. Suddenly a new car stopped right in front of her, blocking her way. A very handsome and tall man came out of the car. But Neha was too scared to read his features. He looked pissed. He grabbed Neha by the elbow and pushed her into the car. Neha started screaming but no one was around to hear her pleads.

"No, please let me go. No one can pay a ransom for me,I am a beggar. Please let me go." Neha pleaded as she tried her best to get herself free from his tight and strong hold.

"Shut up. I'm not here to kidnap you for money." The strange man replied angrily.

"Then why are you kidnapping me?" Neha asked him again.

"To marry you." He replied to her and pushed her into the car. All her screams and pleadings were unheard, because no one was around.
