After the question my Mom asked me, all the voices around faded away as thoughts from the day the incident which was coming back to haunt me—happened.

It was just self-defense. It was meant to be an act of self-defense which turned out to be more. It was a self-defense act that led to death.

I know you may be wondering who died. It was my family’s butler. Barlowe. I took him like the elder brother I never had. I used to look up to him so much because of the way he coordinated himself and all.

He was from a lineage of Omega’s in our pack whom my Dad had pity on and decided to take them under his wing.

On the fateful day when my parents traveled, Barlow who at that time was 25 and I was 17, tried to rape me.
