Gianna gritted her teeth and said guiltily, "It's Mitchell's, actually."

I turned to Mitchell, whose eyes were filled with nothing but remorse and despair. I was utterly confused, finding it hard to believe that the child I was carrying actually belonged to him.

In my past life, Mitchell had been the one to smother me to death. I couldn't help but wonder if he was faking his remorse this time, or if his devotion was a complete lie back then.
