Chapter 6: Marry Me

"Wendy, this is an extremely urgent situation! Can you please find a way to get Mr. Park's phone number?"

Suzy had blocked him on WhatsApp and even left all the shared groups. Now, her only hope lay in Wendy!

On the other end, it was clear that Wendy had not yet fully awakened, and her voice carried a hint of drowsiness. "Who?"

"Liam Park..."

"You must be sleepwalking. You should go back to your bed."

"I don't have time to provide a detailed explanation. This is a serious matter!"

The supervisor from the collaborating company had left the country immediately after signing the contract. Suzy couldn't possibly ask them to return just to sign a new contract with her!

Wendy also sensed that Suzy wasn't joking. She sat up in bed and thought for a moment. “I definitely can't get you his number, but you can go to his room and find him.”

Right, of course!

Suzy quickly hung up the phone, threw on some clothes, and rushed to the hotel's presidential suite.

However, as soon as she got out of the elevator on that floor, she was stopped by the CEO's secretary.

“Hello, I need to see Mr. Park; it's urgent.”

The secretary gave her a once-over and spoke in a serious tone, “Do you have an appointment?”

Suzy replied, “No.”

The secretary was blunt, saying, "Then, please leave."

“Could you please make an exception? Just let him know that Suzy needs to see him urgently, and he will definitely meet with me!”

Facing her request, the secretary simply didn't respond and acted as if she hadn't heard anything.

Suzy was feeling a bit defeated when suddenly, Liam's deep voice came from the suite.

'Let her in.'"

……

Upon hearing Liam's command, the secretary finally allowed her to enter.

Suzy cautiously pushed open the door to the suite and saw Liam was still wearing that dark silk robe. He was standing by the floor-to-ceiling window, holding a cup of black coffee and taking occasional sips.

When his gaze fell upon her, Suzy awkwardly tugged at her lips and said, "Mr. Park, did you happen to pick up a contract that day?"

"That day?" Mr. Park raised his thick eyebrows and then took long strides towards her. "Which day?"

The intensity of his presence made Suzy instinctively take a few steps back. She knew Liam was doing this deliberately, so she decided to be straightforward about the matter.

"Mr. Park, that night, I accidentally sent a text to the wrong person, and I don't remember anything that followed. Today, I just came to retrieve the contract—"

"Suzy, I need a marriage partner."

Interrupted abruptly, Suzy didn't react immediately. "What?"

"I said, marry me." Liam approached, his dark eyes fixed squarely on her bewildered face.

"Give it some thought," he spoke in a casual tone as if discussing the weather, but to Suzy's ears, it sounded almost like a hallucination.

After standing in place for a while, she finally said, "Mr. Park, you don't need to test me."

Suzy wasn't naive. If Liam needed a marriage partner, there would be plenty of women willing to line up for the opportunity, and it seemed unlikely that she would be his first choice.

This had to be some kind of test!

To see if she had ambitions and aspirations, whether she wanted to rise above her current circumstances.

Ignoring her response, Liam continued, "Is your mother in the hospital? I can help her find the top doctors and cover all her expenses. If you agree, we can register tomorrow."

He spoke earnestly, and the expression on his handsome face didn't seem like he was joking.

But...

"Why?"

"I just said, I need a marriage partner. As for why it's you..." Liam paused for a moment. "Because you're the most suitable."
