20: The Truth

“Sister?” The word leaves my lips in a rush of breath.

“Yes, quite surprising I know.” She flips her hair over her shoulder and throws an arm over his shoulder, he is taller than her by many inches but that didn’t faze her. “So, you two a thing yet?” she wiggles her brows and I choke, starting a coughing fit.

“No,” he says in a curt voice. She rolls her eyes, probably used to his standoffish attitude.

“Not with that your attitude, no one would want you.” she pushes him away and plops next to me, almost successfully making me pour the water, she has faster reflexes than me and she takes it from me.

“Be careful with that,” she says to me, looking up at her brother that is staring at me, without blinking.

“When are we leaving? Is she coming with us?” she doesn’t wait for him to answer before she fixes her gaze on me. “Are you coming with us?”

I look between both of them. “Coming where with you?” I ask, perplexed.
