Mag-log inAkira's POV
I halted at the front of the ice hockey ring, the sound seemed to be coming from there. I mumbled to myself softly, before opening the door to the ring.
Someone was in there, he was on the ice, practicing shots. His jet black hair made it impossible for me not to recognize him. I coughed nervously, calling to his attention. He turned to me, his eyes portraying surprise.
It was Kael, who else could it be? Why the hell is he practicing alone after closing hours? Did he get trapped like me too?
“Milky? Why are you here?” he asked.
“I got locked in,” I said. He stared at me in disbelief.
“I was reading at the library when the school bell rang. I wasn't aware so I got locked in,” I clarified.
“And the Librarian couldn't usher you out?”
“He probably did know I was still there, I usually sit at a corner which makes it hard for people to find me there.”
“That's your problem then,” he turned away from me and continued with what he was doing.
“Why…why are you in here?”
“Practicing.”
“You are practicing all by yourself after school hours?” I was astonished.
“Yeah… Isn’t it nice? I get to have the hockey ring all to myself,” he muttered, turning back to me, while I stared at him like he was speaking gibberish.
“Isn't this place supposed to be locked? How do you even…”
“I am a Blackwood. I get to do what I want, I have special keys to the doors.”
He didn't have to rub it on my face. I knew the Blackwoods were freaking wealthy.
“Ohh!” I responded.
“So can I get the keys?” nervousness sounded through my voice.
He dropped his hockey stick. “Move closer,”
Move closer? The space between us is good enough for me. He tilted his head a little, hinting that I am not moving.
I slowly moved closer to him and I stopped from feets away from him.
“I won't repeat myself.”
I moved closer till we were only centimeters close. He gently moved his hand to my face and he removed my glasses.
“My glasses!” I shrieked.
“They make you look ugly,” he said.
I don't know what that was supposed to mean but I didn't like it.
“I can't see clearly without them.”
“You can see me right?”
I have______ but yeah, I could still see him.
“Yeah…”
“It's just you and I in here, you don't need to see anything else.”
He held my glasses in his hands and moved away from me.
Now, what did he gain from doing this? My glasses make me look ugly… how is that his concern? I thought he wanted to hand me the keys.
“You can sit and watch me now,” he muttered, picking up his hockey stick as he proceeded to continue playing.
“I don't want to watch you.”
“Your opinion doesn't matter.”
I found my way to a seat, without a choice I watched him play.
He showed off his hockey skills bit by bit. I didn't know when I started to enjoy watching him. He shot the puck into the net, which is something that was almost impossible, judging from the distance.
“How was that?” He asked from down the ice.
“It was good. Beautiful shot.” I cheered. He smiled in response. He got out of the ice and picked up his bag which he kept by the board.
I quickly got down to meet him.
“We can leave now,” he muttered.
Thank goodness. Watching him play wasn't bad, but I needed to get home soon.
“Take this,” he pushed his bag to me, just when I thought he was starting to treat me nicely.
An asshole would always be an asshole.
We got out of the school and surprisingly, his chauffeur was already waiting outside.
The man's face flashed with surprise as he saw us working towards the car together.
“Good day sir, good day miss,” he greeted.
“Good day sir,” I smiled at the man.
Kael didn't respond to him. Is he always this rude to everyone?
I wanted to sit in the front seat, but Kael gave me a deadly glare.
“Sit with me.”
I sat with him in the back seat choicelessly.
The drive was very silent and it made it kind of awkward. I wasn't looking forward to having any conversations with Kael but I didn't expect the drive to be so plain.
“Thank you sir,” I said as the car halted and I got down. Kael also got down. I did go to my house, time was gone already, so I walked with Kael towards his house.
“Aren't you going home?” He asked me.
“I still have to tutor you,”
“We already had our lessons.”
“What lessons?”
“Hockey lesson,” he answered bluntly.
“But that isn't…”
“We only do things my way here. You can go to your house.”
I stopped walking and stared at him in confusion.
“Don't do that Milky,” he warned.
“This is so absurd and…”
“I don't wanna hear it. We are doing things my way or I won't let you tutor me anymore.”
“You can't fire me.”
“I can do things that would get you fired,” he threatened.
I backed out immediately. Kael never makes empty threats. There was a time he threatened to _________ and he did ju
st that.
I walked to my house slowly with careless thoughts running in my head. If I want to make this work, I have to play by his rules.
Akira's POVKael is going insane, his demands are getting out of hand. Is it a must that I attend the party with him? He can go alone, or he should find another girl to go with him. I am not pretty and I am very inexperienced when it comes to parties. I guess he just wants a person he can control; someone who he can order around. It was almost time for the party already, I had nothing good to wear. I found myself a plain knee length yellow dress to wear. The dress hung freely on my body.I knew I would be the least dressed at the party, but that didn't bother me, so I marched to Kael's house.Kael opened up the door for me at the second knock, he must have been expecting me. His eyes scan through my dressing and he looked a little disappointed. But he was dressed nicely though, he wore a plain white T-shirt and a matching denim jacket and trousers, his hair was done in a new style which highlighted his perfectly structured face.I looked like a rag beside him.“Damn Milky, come with m
Kael's POVI laid on my bed tiredly, my wrists hurt a little from practice and trying to impress Milky, but I impressed her though. My parents made the best decision by hiring Milky to be my tutor. At least they did one thing right for me, I could easily make her do my biddings, my previous tutors were assholes.I took out my Maths notebook and I did my homework by myself- for the first time ever. Since Milky already taught me the topic, I decided to give it a try and I do not want to bother her too much. I already wasted her time by making her watch me practice. My phone beeped beside me, I got a message. I checked it quickly. It was an invitation to Adrienne’s birthday party.Attending Adrienne’s birthday party is fine by me, but I had a little problem, it says- come with a friend, I don't have any friends aside Adrienne; he is the birthday boy, so who do I bring along to the party? My mind wandered to the person that would go with me without a choice- Milky. I would make her accomp

Akira's POVI was really glad that I'll get to tutor Kael today. I knew he would be mean to me, but at least I'll get to do my job.I sat on the couch, waiting patiently for Kael to descend down the stairs and hoping he wouldn't act like he did the previous day.Kael being true to his words, he came down with books and textbooks. My face brightened up a little.“Looks like you are happy to see me,” he teased.“No I'm not.”“Let’s get to business then,” he dropped the books on the table and sat beside me.This was the first time we sat so close to one another, and the feeling was kind of weird.“So, we are starting with Matrices,” I took out a textbook and opened a page.“Alright.”He watched me closely, paying attention to my teachings. The feeling of his gaze on me was a little off, but I adjusted to it.Surprisingly, tutoring Kael was easier than I expected it to be. He easily understood even before I finished my explanationsI flipped to another section of the textbook.“Okay, let'
Akira's POVThe game was getting tense, it was the second period already. And I was starting to understand the game a little. The Northernways already scored, while we were on nothing. They were very aggressive and they didn't play by the rules, Kael counterattacked them with as much force. He snatched the puck from a Northernway player and passed it to his teammate at the blue line. The dude took off in a flash, he pulled back his stick and shot at the goalie. The audience exploded, and I did too, just that I wanted the goal to be scored by Kael. The Underwich players gave victory poses; displaying on the ice. Kael looked up at the crowd: in my direction, our eyes met. He was caught unaware, a smile flashed across his face for a second, before disappearing. Did I see that correctly? Kael rarely smiled. The game continued, players on both sides struggled with the puck.In a short while, the horn blared, it was the second intermission— I think. The players got out of the ice, they prob
Akira's POVLogically, it's wrong for a tutor to help her student do his homework. I should be teaching him how to do it instead. And that was the problem, Kael didn't want to learn.I didn't do his homework for him. I planned to teach him how to do it. What if he gets enraged and goes all visceral on me? Then I am fried.I took clumsy steps towards his block.“Are you done with it?” Kael's voice made me yank a little. He was taking some stuff from a car in the driveway.I couldn't respond. He would…“Can't you speak?”“Actually… Kael… I… I think it's best for us to work on the assignment together,” I choked on my words.“You think you can order me around,” he left what he was doing and moved closer to me. My heartbeat fastened at every step he took.“I… I… am not,”I always find it hard to speak around him. It’s like the words in my head disappear and I was just learning about them.“Sit, and do it now!” He ordered.I wouldn't dare defile him. I gently sat on his porch and started do
