I woke the next morning in a daze, my alarm blaring. Brum brum brum brum. Maddie scratched at my door anxiously, aggravated I had latched it completely the night before. I sat up slowly, groaning with pain, and reached over, slamming my hand swift and sure down on the top of the annoying technology. "Die foul beast."
