Chapter Five

Marguerite

“Merry Christmas,” I muttered, wiping off nonexistent dust from my shirt.

“Say it like you mean it.” Vinn made a face.

“Do you want me to pick you up after school? We could spend Christmas together if you don’t have plans.” Vinn suggested as he dropped me off right in front of our school gate. He casually leaned on his baby—the Kawasaki ZX10R SE.

It was Christmas Day. Fucking Christmas Day and our professors who weren’t loved at home, set the day for classes.

“Aren’t you attending classes today?” I asked him with a slight frown.

“No. I have a race scheduled for twenty minutes from now,” he glanced at his wristwatch as he spoke. “With Damsey.” He finished off.

“Where?” I handed over the helmet to him.

“Sea road, the third side.” He replied.

“Have fun.” I said almost hurriedly as I spotted Beckie and Jacob approaching us.

Vinn’s gaze alternated between me and them, and a look of realization crossed his face. “Oh, that’s why?” He whispered.

I feigned ignorance. “That’s why what?” I asked.

“Why you fucked that dude at the club last night.” He said, this time raising his voice so Jacob and Beckie who had already rounded upon us could hear clearly. My ears turned red as the memories of last night flashed across my mind. I woke up at my house this morning with a terrible hangover and feeling like shit.

Clara had already traveled to Germany, thank goodness. I knew if I continued seeing her face, I might be tempted to strangle her.

Anders. Yes, that was his name.

Gosh, that was the most fast and most intense sex I’d ever had. I didn’t even last up to two minutes before passing out. That was unusual. I’d never passed out during sex before, and the thought that I did last night and in front of a hot stranger too made me feel embarrassed.

A very much upset Vinn had picked me up from the club last night, and had taken me home without waiting for me to say goodbye to the stranger. I guess it was good anyway. There was no way I was going to face him again after passing out like that.

“You fucked a stranger?” Jacob was asking when I turned my attention back to them. His hair was shaggier that morning, and I could swear that I spotted a sharp gleam in his eyes, and that of Beckie’s.

“And what business of yours is it?” I asked him, crossing my arms. The students who were passing at that moment gasped. Jacob was one of the ‘big guys.’ He won many victories for the school football team, and coupled with his sexy look, many female students wanted him, and the males were envious of him. I was certain that before the day ended, the news that we’d broken up was sure to spread round the entire school.

“I am your boyfriend, yet you had the guts to whore around?” He yelled.

I didn’t let him end his words before slapping him hard across his face. His face bent sideways at the impact, and a look of disbelief crossed his face. “How dare you slap me?!” He growled.

“Call me a whore one more time, and watch me design your face with more slaps.” I snapped, letting my gaze land briefly on Beckie before moving it away. She was grinning from ear-ear but her smile vanished the instant I narrowed my eyes on her.

“Stop being childish, and see reasons with us, Magg.” Beckie said in a small voice.

“What did you say?” I asked after an exhale.

“You’re being childish. It was the alcohol.” She insisted.

“Alright. You can take my used toy, Beckie. I have no intention of being with a community dick. And don’t you ever address me as Magg. We’re not that close.” I poured out in a single breath.

Their faces turned ashen.

With a look of satisfaction, I turned to Vinn. “I’ll meet you at the academy, Vinn.” I told him. He was still leaning against his bike, looking unbothered. But I’d known him since forever and knew the instant Jacob tried to hit me would be the last time he’d ever use that hand.

“I’ll pick you up.” He insisted, adjusting his position and putting on his helmet.

“I’ll head home first, before coming to the academy.” I brushed off his offer.

He regarded me for a moment before nodding. “Will you be fine?” He asked, looking Jacob and Beckie over. Jacob shot him a hateful glare before walking off holding Beckie’s hand while looking back to make sure I was still staring at them.

“I hope so.” I sighed and entered the school premises.

“Rumor is going around that two new students are joining our academy.” Vinn said as he parked his bike in his usual spot. He bent to adjust his boots, before straightening. Despite insisting, he came over to my house, gave me a full box of chocolate cake—my favorite, and raced me down to the biking academy.

I got off my Ninja and gave him a quizzical look. “And how do you know that?” I asked him.

“Just heard. And I heard they’re really good and wealthy. And hot.” He added the last part reluctantly, running his hands through his hair.

I made a face. “Well, that’s the academy’s problem, not mine.” I shrugged and placed my helmet on the bike before leading the way out of the garage. We rounded upon a little crowd of students whispering amongst themselves, and pointing at something.

“We should take a lo-” Vinn began saying but I was already moving towards them.

My mouth fell open when I saw what it was. It was a Superleggera V4, and a Streetfighter. They were amongst the most expensive bikes, and sure did not belong to any of the students in the academy. I knew that because before today, my Ninja was the most admired. Before I could control it, I burst out enviously. “And what’s all the fuss all about?”

“Have you seen the new students?” The girl beside me whispered.

I shook my head. “I just arrived.”

“I heard they’re the fastest bikers, and they’re super hot and sexy too.” She gushed.

“I am the fastest biker in the academy. Everyone knows that.” I harrumphed.

“Well, that’s what Trainer Croix said. They’re both in his office at the moment.” She added, and went back to gushing over the bike.

“Jealous?” Vinn teased me as he came closer.

“No, I’m not. It’s just a bike.” As I spoke, I hit the bike to emphasize my words.

“Let’s go, Magg, before you cause trouble.” Vinn chuckled and gently tried to pull me away.

“Oh, she has caused trouble already.” A calm voice called out, and we both turned around to see an unfamiliar but super gorgeous man, dressed in full leather outfit, and with both hands tucked in his pockets.

Just like Anders.

I shook my head the moment I thought of him, as if doing so would make the thoughts go away.

“Are you a new student?” I asked, while trying not to look him over.

“Am I being interviewed?” He drawled. “My name is Qyler.”

I studied him closely. It was eerie, but something about him was similar to Anders. I couldn’t tell what it was, but his aura…

This man had golden hair, the same pale and almost white skin. His eyes were metallic blue, and he was just as tall as Anders.

“Let’s go, Magg.” Vinn finally spoke up, and tried to pull me away.

“Not so fast. I heard her say she’s the fastest biker. Why don’t we put that to the test?” The tall gorgeous man suggested.

I smirked. “A challenge?”

“Yes. With us.” He said.

“Who?” I frowned, looking around and seeing no other unfamiliar face. Vinn gave me some eye signals trying to ask if I wanted the challenge or not.

“Oh, you’ll find out soon enough. Do you agree to the challenge?” He asked.

I was a rational person no matter how proud I was. “What is the stake?” I retorted.

“The loser has to kiss the winner.” He said with a small grin. That little action earned him squeals from the girls around.

I frowned. “That’s unfair. Each way, a kiss is involved. Let’s do it this way. The winner gets to decide what the loser has to do.” I crossed my arms and said.

“Are you so confident that you’ll win?” His grin broadened.

“I’d never lost before.” I sneered.

“Okay. Get your bike, and let’s begin.” He ordered smugly.

His demeanor raised my rebellious attitude. “Not until I see your partner.”

“He’s here already.” He merely said, while going over to the Streetfighter. That meant the Superleggera was his partner’s.

I felt his presence before I even saw him, and my heartbeat quickened.

No, it couldn’t be.

‘Of course it could be, you idiot.’ I chided myself inwardly. I recalled he was a biker too.

I slowly turned around to face him fully.

“Hello, Marguerite. We meet again.”

Shit.

It was him. Anders. The man I fucked at the club last night.

CHAPTER ELEVENChapter Eleven AndersI eyed the plate of ratatouille and grilled fish, while debating if I should have a taste or not. I’d been at loss of what to order, and had just gone with whatever I saw first while searching through the menu. The last time I ate, was five hundred years ago, and while I was eager to test if my taste buds had awakened, I was still afraid. If the taste of food was still the same as before, that’d prove that Marguerite wasn’t my mate. Well, there was the vamp mate sex to prove that, but there had been cases where humans passed out while having sex and–I cut my thoughts midway, and pulled the bowl of stew closer. Upsetting myself with thoughts of what ‘if’s’ wasn’t going to help. I already raised a spoonful when a sound downstairs distracted me. I sprung up from the chair and rushed down just as Qyler walked in with an unconscious Marguerite in his arms and a solemn expression on his face. I stiffened, my gaze alternating betw

CHAPTER TENChapter Ten Marguerite“Fucking hell,” I groaned, and blinked my eyes open.I rubbed on my eyes as I sat up on the unfamiliar bed and equally unfamiliar room, while I tried to recall the events of the previous day. Right.Challenge. Lost the game. Got disowned. Currently in Anders’ home..I looked around the room once more, noting the beautiful view. It was painted cream and a light shade of purple. The bedsheets and duvet matched the purple. There was also a floor-to-ceiling window, though the blinds were currently closed, allowing little rays of sunlight to seep through. I didn’t get a good look at the room last night, while I was busy locking parts of me that I was sure I wouldn’t need anymore. That included my vulnerable and soft side. I pushed off the bed and sauntered into the en suite bathroom. And my eagerness had nothing to do with the thought of seeing Anders. At least, that was what I assured myself. I fell asleep last night while waiting

  • A Vampire Biker For Christmas    Chapter Nine

Chapter Nine Anders “Your Highness,” the guard manning the door to the throne room bowed as I approached. “Open.” I nodded. The door opened to the wide throne room and I stepped in. At the far end, my parents were seated on their respective thrones and they were in the middle of what seemed to be a deep conversation. They didn’t notice my presence, and I didn’t bother to indicate, instead going to take a seat on one of the lower thrones. When they finally snapped out of it, my mother noticed me first.“Anders,” she called out with a smile. “You are here.” She added.“I think so.” I shrugged.I turned to my father who was regarding me with a tight frown. “Why did you summon me?” I asked bluntly.“Anders! That’s no way to speak to the King.” My mother reprimanded.“I don’t think the ‘King’ minds. Or do you, Your Royal Highness?” I asked with a lazy smile.“Cut the act, Anders. The princess is waiting for you, or have you forgotten about your date?” My father fin

  • A Vampire Biker For Christmas    Chapter Eight

Chapter Eight Anders“Who hurt you?” I questioned as I settled her behind me on my bike. She wrapped her arms around my waist, and rested her head on my back. I knew it was the wrong thing to say, and the wrong question to ask. She was resting against my body for skies’ sake. Evidence that she wasn’t in the right state of mind. “My bike.” Marguerite said in response. I swallowed. “Qyler will bring it to my place. Are you comfortable?” I asked. I felt her nod. As I revved up my bike, thoughts of tearing off whoever hurt her filled my mind. Suddenly, my bike wasn't as fast as I wanted. I’d prefer teleporting with her back to my place. But I knew that would be a dangerous thing to do. Suddenly, I thought of the bags and bags of blood which were neatly arranged in my refrigerator and panicked. Shit. My calm and calculated self always vanished whenever I was with this woman. “Can I make a quick call, Marguerite? It’ll be fast, I promise.” I was already ge

  • A Vampire Biker For Christmas    Chapter Seven

Chapter Seven Marguerite “Who the fuck does he even think he is?!” I swore as I slowly rode into the little parking lot in front of the apartment I shared with my mother. The insufferable sonofabitch. My stomach rumbled at that moment, cutting my thoughts halfway. I cursed beneath my breath and took off my helmet as I approached the door. A sudden crash sounded from within the house. I dashed in.“Mum! Are you okay?” I asked, my eyes roaming around the little living room in search of any intruder. My eyes widened further when I saw the packing boxes and almost empty space. Behind the boxes on the floor was my mother, her gaze fiery. The source of the noise was the small vase I'd gotten for her as a present on her birthday. My mother was an item collector, and loved keeping items ranging from portraits down to a little wooden spoon. Now, the pieces of the vase littered the floor, so dangerously close to her bare legs. “What’s going on, Mum?” I asked in a smal

Chapter Six Anders “I’m sorry, but we can’t go through with the challenge.” She said, while avoiding my gaze. Amused, my lips curled.“Is it because of me? Are you avoiding me, Marguerite?” I asked, watching as her hands clenched.“You think the world of yourself, don’t you?” She retorted with an irritated look. She was still actively avoiding my gaze.I approached her slowly. “Then why don’t you want the challenge to go on?” I asked her. I stopped at her front, holding her gaze this time. She swallowed visibly, before turning away.“I don’t want to. Isn’t that enough reason?” She threw back at me. “Let’s go, Vinn.” She added to her friend, and tried to leave. I regarded her friend, and my face closed up. He was good-looking. A pang of jealousy clenched my gut. The way he looked at her. Couldn’t she see it? I knew that look. It was one of a person, who was totally into another. Vinn held my gaze as if it was a contest, before holding Marguerite’s hand and t
