It Couldn't Be Right

It couldn't be right. Those bastards wouldn't dare touch my pack! 

Although I tried to keep still, I was already fuming with rage deep inside. With eyes blazing with defiance, I turned toward Mandy. 

" Take me to the Alpha King. I need to see him and stop all this madness."

Mandy had a weird look on her face." My princess, they all left to invade the rogue cities..." 

My eyes twitched at her words. "Rogue cities? The .?"

Mandy nodded, her eyes scanning the garden. " Yes, Princess. I heard the rogue Alpha was challenging the Alpha King."

I let out a deep sigh of relief." Ohh!"

It wasn't the Crescent Moon Pack. 

" Let's go back inside. I need to take a nap."

With that, I turned around, walking briskly back to my chambers. Of course, with Mandy trailing behind me. 

As soon as I got inside my chambers, the trashed room looked like when the triplets brought me here. Deep down, I felt an ache as I remembered them. 

" What's wrong with me?"

I had sworn to protect my heart, yet their thoughts kept eating me inside out. The room smelled nice, their scent still lingered. It was as though the room was never cleaned up. Was it actually the room or me?

" My princess, the princes might take days before they are back. What do you wish to do during this period?"

Mandy's voice was a little anxious, as if she would be dead meat if I felt even the slightest bit of discomfort. 

" Can I really go anywhere?" 

Mandy nodded, her blue eyes twinkling. " Yes, my princess. Anywhere except outside of the royal castle."

I rolled my eyes at her words. Anywhere indeed!

" Fine. Then show me every exciting place in the castle, will you?"

Her bubbling head and innocent eyes made me smile. Mandy surely looked innocent, but were the triplets this generous to place such a servant by my side?

Days turned into a blur without seeing the triplet and their handsome, annoying faces. Three days without them felt blissful, yet hallowing. I woke up and had a tour of the garden till breakfast before going back to my chamber. 

Every time Mandy and I walked around the garden, I asked her harmless questions. If I truly wanted to leave this place, I needed to know every nook and cranny. 

Although it would have been the perfect opportunity to exact my revenge, my powers were still restricted. There was one last thing I needed to do to activate my true form.

It's the seventh day since the triplet and the Alpha King left to invade the rogues. I was in the garden taking in the sweet scents of the newly budded lilies when I heard Mandy's gasp behind me.

" My princess, Prince Drake, is back!"

My heart leapt in joy, for a second there, the news of their return ringing in my head. The next second, I scolded myself. 

" Prince Drake? What about the others? They are back, too?" I asked, shutting my eyes tightly. 

Mandy was lost at first before she shook her head. " The other two princes are still settling the rogue battle. As usual, one of the princes has to come back to the palace until everything is settled."

I raised my brow," Oh...so Prince Drake made the slot?"

" Strange. Prince Damon always made the slot..."

I opened my eyes." What do you mean?"

Mandy scratched her head," Nothing, my princess. Should I get you prepared to meet him?"

I snorted, standing up slowly. "No. Tell him I am under the weather."

I quickly got up, getting ready to go back to my chambers. I don't wish to meet any of the triplets now. Not even Drake who had been least active. I was still trying to control their hold over me. I still need more time. 

I had barely taken three steps when I froze, and my eyes locked on Drake's smirk. His silence was deafening, and my defiance was the perfect response. 

" Get out of...Arrrrrrhhh!"

A familiar scene replayed in my head as Drake literally threw me on his broad shoulders. Why were these men so aggressive? I struggled to get down, but it was fruitless. 

" Let me down!"

“ Keep struggling, and I don't mind doing more!” 

“Where are you taking me?"

" Inspection."

"What?!"

Silence. 

After a minute or more, I heard the banging of the door. He threw me onto a soft, huge bed while he slowly unbuttoned his shirt.

“ Wha-t are-you-trying to do?” I stuttered, my eyes bulging out as I frantically looked around. 

This wasn't my chamber. 

“ I told you already.”

“ I- don't you dare-”

“ Oh…but you can dare?”

“ What do you mean?”

“ I meant this…”

And with that, I felt his lips on mine as he ravaged not only my lips but my fucking heart as well. How the hell would my heart be beating this fast for my enemy?

I shamelessly responded to the sweet taste of his kisses, wanting more every smack. I don't know how long we kissee when my mother's words jolted me back to reality.  With all my strength,  I pushed him off me. 

Not before biting his lips, of course.

“ Wild. I like it,” He let out a chuckle, licking off the blood from his lips. 

“ You are a perverted bastard! All of you...” I glared at him.

“ Yeah…but only for you, mate. I could continue to show you how perverted I am”

What exactly had come over Drake? This was usually Damon's part. Drake had been the least dominant among them. At least, that was what I thought.

“ You…! I am not your mate. I already rejected you all…”

“ Really? Then why are you still lost in my touch, mate?” He grinned, staring at me as if I was foolish.

Just a single touch was already setting my whole body on fire. My mind raced in panic, I needed no one to tell me that I was in deep trouble. Was it truly helpless against the bond?

“ You- what did you people do to me? Why can’t I reject any of you?” I asked, casting him a fierce glare.

With a faint smile plastered across his gorgeous face and the twisting of his luscious lips, his eyes roamed all over my body before stopping at my eyes.

“ You don't get it, do you? YOU ARE OURS, ELISE…”

I shuddered at his possessiveness. Something about his words didn't seem right. Who exactly were these men, and why can’t I reject them?

I clutched harder at the hem of my shirt, I battled with the anger coursing through my veins. I still can't believe he was acting all pompous.

“ Fuck you, Drake or whatever you call yourself. I can never be yours!" I spat out venomously.

He let out a deep chuckle before a faint smile rested on his gorgeous face. Gosh! Why the hell was I getting attracted to a murderer?

“ Never? That's not yours to bargain anymore, wifey," he shrugged, the words gliding out of his mouth with authority.

How was I so unfortunate to be mated to monsters and murderers?

“ I have a say…!”

" Really? Should I say you are trying too hard to be smart or your memory seems faded?” He asked, staring deeply into my eyes.

" What do you mean?”

" Or perhaps you wanted us too badly that night that you forgot about our deal?” He kept mocking me.

I squinted at his words. When have I ever made a deal with these devils? I wasn't that foolish!

I was literally breathing out fire and brimstone, but this man seemed unperturbed. He was so calm at everything going on that I was beginning to hate myself instead.

Without another word, I heard the door banging loudly. I let my body hit the mattress, my tears running nonstop. I kept questioning myself on what to do. I thought I had it all planned out.

I thought I was going to bury the bond and make them feel helpless? But why was I the one feeling helpless instead?

Why was the rejection void?

It wasn't until something jolted back the memories of that first night that I realized I just made a deal with devils.
