Those were their words. In the moment of anger and betrayal, I had sold my soul to these monsters. If only I knew it was going to be them, I would rather have let those rogue take advantage of me.

Their lineage was my parents murderer. My whole clan was wiped out under their father's command. How could the moon goddess pair us together amidst the hatred? 

“ Mom, dad…I am sorry. But I promise to take revenge soon!” I muttered, shutting my eyes tightly.

There was no escaping. I would have to dance along until I get in touch with my father. I needed a plan to escape so I could build my own army to destroy them all.

It's been three days since the encounter with Drake after he came back from the rogue invasion. I have decided to stop feeling comfortable. I rarely touched my food and locked myself inside my chamber. 

I stood at the window, staring out at the Blood Trinity Kingdom. 

My new home.

I felt a shiver run down my spine as I thought about the triplets who had brought me here. The men who had destroyed my clan and killed my entire family. 

I still can’t believe they were my second chance mates.

I turned away from the window, my eyes scanning the bedroom. Even though it was more like a heavenly palace, It was still a hateful place, no matter how luxurious. 

And I was the prisoner trapped here, bound by the bond of being mates. Bound by their cruel threats to destroy the pack that took me in. 

I thought back to that night at the nightclub, when I had been so blinded by my desire for revenge against Anderson, so desperate to escape my pain. I had never imagined that I would end up here as the mate of the alpha princes.

Under the guise of a sensual deal.

There was a knock at the door, and I turned to see a new servant entering with a tray of food. And as usual, I wore a frown on my face. I hated everything and everyone. 

Except for Mandy, I guess. But since that day, Mandy was nowhere to be found. 

"Your lunch, my lady," she said, curtsying.

I was reluctant and wished I could throw it away,  just as I have done these past three days. I barely ate, kept alive by the strength of Keiran. Even she was getting weaker. 

With a sigh,  I nodded, taking the tray from her. 

"Thank you." The maid breathed out, relief washing all over her face.

I nodded again, looking up at her petite face. “ What's your name?”

“ Amelia, Miss Everton,” she said with courtesy.

As I ate, I couldn't shake the feeling of unease. I was living in the lap of luxury, but I was not free. The nightmares were like daily doses, reminding me of what I needed to do.

These past few days, Drake would always come visiting but hardly say anything. 

And yet..., there was something about him that drew me in. Something that made me want to know more about him, to understand him.

I pushed the thought away, feeling my heart tightened with anger. I would not be swayed by Drake's charms. I would not forget what they had done.

As I finished my lunch, I heard a faint noise coming from the door. I turned to see one of those I hated, standing in the entrance, his eyes fixed on me.

" Wifey," he said, his voice low and husky. "I see you're settling in well."

What made him speak to me today?

I glared at him, yet feeling a flutter in my chest. "Don't call me that."

With a deep chuckle, Drake walked towards me, his movements fluid and powerful. 

"Mate," he said, his eyes never leaving mine. "You look gorgeous when relaxed. But even more endearing when feisty…"

I felt a surge of anger. Was he flirting with me? I would have retaliated, but I had other plans in mind. 

I didn't say anything. Instead, I just bite hard on my lower lips, trying to appear docile. Will he take the bait?

I heard a low growl from him as he stopped in front of me, his eyes searching mine. "Mate, I know you're still angry with us," he said, his voice softening. "And I don't blame you. But I want you to know that I am committed to making this work between us. I don't need your approval."

I raised an eyebrow, surprised and angered by his words. He was just too dominant. With a raised brow, I stared deep into his eyes.

"Making what work?" I asked, trying to keep my tone neutral.

Drake smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. 

"Us," he said, his voice low and intimate. "I want us to work, mate."

There was something about his words, something that made me feel like he was seeing right through me. Something that made my bleeding heart flutter and soften. 

But I didn't want to be drawn in. I didn't want to feel anything for this man.

So I just nodded again, trying to appear uninterested. 

"I see," I said, my voice flat.

Drake's smile faltered for a moment, but then he recovered. 

"Good," he said, his voice still low and intimate. "I'm glad we understand each other."

But I didn't understand him. And I wasn't sure I wanted to. As Drake turned to leave, I felt deep relief. But then he stopped and turned back to me.

"Wify," he said, his eyes glinting in the light. "Don't think about trying to escape. You won't succeed."

I felt a chill run down my spine as he spoke. How did he know what I was thinking? But I just nodded again, trying to appear obedient.

Drake smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Good," he said, his voice low and menacing. "Otherwise,  I will gladly remind you of how yummy you taste."

And with that, he turned and left, leaving my face feeling hot and red like an overripe tomato. 

What a pervert!
