" Mine" I thought I heard them say. Or maybe it was the aftermath of the alcohol. These men were devilishly handsome and alike! “ Hey handsomes, how about a night with you all? I am clean and can pay you too,” I bargained, my words coming out in a slur. It's better to lose it to these hot dudes than scumbag Anderson. “ You are drunk, little girl,” One of them reprimanded. “ I am drunk with the desire to make you all mine!” I uttered, grabbing his neck as I placed my lips on his. “ Don’t regret this!” I heard his groan, his hands gripping my butt. Regret? I would have regretted it if I had given myself to that bastard, Anderson. Then he added, “ Once you are ours, you can never escape. You will be ours for eternity.” Weird…what was he talking about? Nevertheless, I wanted them already. “ Deal!” I hastily agreed, placing my lips on his. Regret? Nayyy, this was simply three times the joy I bargained for! ** I woke up the following morning with a pounding headache, a clear sign of a rough hangover. When I attempted to shift, I felt a heavy hand resting on me. Turning to my side, I was taken aback by the sight before me. Three handsome guys lie out on the bed, sound asleep. I instinctively leapt off the bed, hitting the floor hard and praying I wouldn’t wake them up. I was completely naked, and so were they… what did that imply? Oh no! Did I just have a wild first night with three dudes? Memories of the previous night flooded back, and I recalled everything that had happened between us. My body felt sore and the tingling sensation from last night lingered. “ I can't believe I gave myself to not just one stranger, but three!” I muttered, biting my lower lip. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would find myself in such a situation. Curse the alcohol and curse Anderson. I couldn’t shake off the embarrassment. I wished the ground would open up and swallow me whole, feeling like a complete mess and utterly ashamed. I swiftly wiped away the tears that were on the verge of falling and began to look for my clothes, nearly stumbling as I did so. Suddenly, a voice echoed in my mind. “ELISE, COME TO THE BORDER!” It was Mira. What could have happened? Did those ruthless Alpha Triplets finally grew impatient and started a war? I rushed to put on my clothes, feeling guilt wash over me. How could I have forgotten about the impending war in our pack? Mira sounded so anxious. I clutched my shoes tightly, hoping to slip away without drawing any attention. The men were still deep in sleep and I felt the urge to kiss them deeply. “ Dammitse! Get yourself together,” I scolded myself. Once outside the club, I quickly shed my clothes, transformed into my wolf form, and ran straight toward the border. My mind was filled with the memories from the previous night, making it difficult to concentrate. Upon reaching a distance away from the camp, I quickly transformed back to my human self. I noticed everyone was in a panic. I rushed towards Alpha Kingston to find out what was going on. However, a slender figure blocked my path. It was Lisa, biting her lower lip as she approached me. She wore a secret smirk as she got closer to me. It took all my willpower not to punch her in the face. “ Elise…” We had been friends, just like Anderson, who I now realised had been betraying me behind my back. I could never treat her the same way again. The image of her with Anderson was buried in my mind, and I couldn’t shake it off. “Stay away from me, Lisa! If you don’t, I swear I’ll end you myself!” With a hateful glare, I walked up to Alpha Kingston. I saw the sneer on her face slowly transforming to raw fear. Another glare at the bitch and she sauntered away. Alpha Kingston was drenched in sweat, looking as if he were on the brink of a panic attack. I quickly took his hand and guided him to a safe place to sit. “Uncle Kingston, what’s happening? It’s complete chaos everywhere, and…” I barely finished my sentence when I noticed two familiar figures from the other side of the border. “ Who are these men?” I asked, panic written all over my face. My heart sank, and disbelief washed over me; it felt like I was trapped in a nightmare. “ These are the triplets of the Blood Trinity Kingdom. The one with golden hair is the second son. The other one is the last,” I overheard Alpha Kingston say. I clenched tightly at my foster uncle's hands, unknowingly. These were two of the infamous bloodthirsty triplets known for their brutality. They always destroy every kingdom together with the brutal Alpha Prince, the eldest of them all. Including mine… If the Alpha King was ruthless, then the Alpha Prince and the infamous duo were monstrous and bloodthirsty. These men left no survivors in whichever pack they raided and had remained mateless for years. Rumour had it they would take women until they passed out, then discard their bodies in the woods for rogues to feast on. These men looked very familiar to those men of last night. The ones that saved me. I shook my head as these men couldn't have been them. They wouldn’t have saved me if they were indeed the infamous triplets. Besides, there were three men last night, not two. “ The Alpha King sent them here to take our people hostage because we ignored his message,” Alpha Kingston added. Just then, an oppressive aura seems to envelop everyone. Even the wind seems to obey the presence of the mysterious person. I felt my uncle trembling as his eyes locked on a familiar figure walking towards us. With a gasp, my eyes widened at the figure as my worst fear lay bare before me. Indeed, these were the same men! The same ones I just had a wild night with. My heart was beating so fast, I couldn't even control it. What was I thinking when I allowed myself to get drunk like that! I desperately hoped they wouldn’t recognise me; that would surely spell my doom. The last thing I needed was for anyone to bring up anything from the previous night. I could practically feel the shame suffocating me. The other men around the duo made a bow, “ My Prince!” My legs wobbled, realisation dawning on me. “ Brother, don't scare her” the infamous duo said, their eyes still fixed on me. I swallowed hard at their words. I was doomed even before the war began. I can’t believe I just slept with the brutal Alpha Prince of the Trinity pack alongside the bloodthirsty duo. The infamous triplet of the Blood Trinity Kingdom. I thought I was miserable enough, until I heard his next words. Surely, the moon goddess hates me! I was surely doomed.Elise POV. Everyone knows pain doesn't make any special announcement before coming. It simply existed.Heavy. Constant. Everywhere.I drifted between awareness and nothingness, caught in a thick haze where time felt meaningless. Sometimes I thought I was awake. Sometimes I thought I was dying. My body felt distant, like it doesn’t belong to me but someone else, like I was only borrowing it for a moment before being pulled under again.Different voices came and went. I heard soft murmurs with broken pleas. Whispered prayers.“Elise… stay with me.”That voice always found me.Derek.It sounded strained, frayed at the edges, like he’d been holding it together for far too long. Every time he said my name, something inside me responded, tugging me closer to the surface.I tried to answer. My chest tightened. My throat burned.Nothing happened.Another voice joined him.Mira.She was crying. Not loudly. Quietly. Like she was afraid the sound itself might scare me away. Her prayers were clu
Drake POVI stood behind Derek as he carried her in.Elise didn’t move. Not a sound. Not a breath I could hear. Her body lay slack in his arms like she’d been emptied out and left behind. Blood matted her hair, dark against skin that looked too pale, too still. My wolf slammed against my ribs. Then Mira broke. She collapsed into me the second she saw me, sobbing so hard her knees gave out. I caught her by instinct, arms wrapping around her shaking body as she clutched my shirt like it was the only thing keeping her upright.“Drake,” she gasped. “They, they...”Her words fell apart. Her entire body trembled, violent, uncontrollable. I could feel her fear bleeding into me, soaking straight through bone and muscle.I held her tighter. Grounded her.My wolf surged at the distress, snarling, demanding blood, but I shoved it down with iron force. Not now. Not her. My priority was Elise.“She told me everything,” Mira choked. “Everything they did. Everything Damon planned to do to both of us
DEREK POVThe night was heavy, pressing down on me with the weight of a thousand storms. The Blood Trinity Pack had never felt so fragile, so stretched thin and on the brink of collapse before. And yet, it was me, the middle of the triplets, the one they called steady who bore the heaviest burden. I had held this pack together through battles, through feuds, through the manipulations and chaos of our father’s reign, and yet tonight, the threads that bound everything seemed ready to snap.Elise was missing. My mind kept returning to her face, the curve of her lips, the sharp glint of her eyes when she caught me staring and the way she laughed when she thought no one was watching. And now, with her gone, I felt hollow, like the very air had been siphoned from my lungs. Drake had lost control entirely and Damon’s betrayal cut deeper than any wound I had ever suffered in combat. And the Alphas at our borders were circling like vultures, waiting for the moment to tear us apart.I ha
DRAKE POVRage has always been my closest companion. It was not the kind that flares and burns out, but the kind that settles into your bones, heavy and patient, waiting for the right moment to tear something apart. I thought I had mastered it years ago, thought I had locked it behind discipline, duty, and the cold logic of survival. But I was wrong. The moment I learned Damon was behind Elise and Mira’s disappearance, something inside me cracked so violently that I felt it echo through my chest. It wasn’t a clean break, it was splintered, jagged, painful like a bone snapping under too much pressure.Elise was gone, not missing, not lost either. She was taken by my own brother.I didn’t remember crossing the room where my men had assembled and were feeding me with intel. One moment I was standing at the table with my hands braced against carved oak, the next my fist was buried in the stone wall beside one of my men's heads. The impact shattered rock and dust rained down like ash.
Elise Pov My stomach contracted around the baby, and I pressed my palms against it, whispering into the emptiness of the cell. Days stretched endlessly and I learned to anticipate the cruelty: the moments when Damon would appear and when his men would enter to test my resolve, to see if I would bend. But no matter what they did, I didn’t. “You’re stubborn,” Damon mused one evening as he appeared in the doorway, silhouetted against the torchlight. He didn't do anything else for a while but the amusement in his gaze cut deeper than any whip. “It’s almost enjoyable.” He mumbled and I flinched, but I refused to look down. “I’ll never give you the satisfaction,” I said through my teeth, my gaze not leaving him even for a split second. “Never?” He asked with a razor sharp and dangerous smile. “Even with this…” He gestured at my chains, at the bruises blooming across my skin and at the weight of captivity pressing me into myself. “…you think you have control?” He added. “I
ELISE POV The chains bit into my wrists, the cold metal pressing into my skin until the bite turned into bruises. Each movement I made sent jagged lines of pain shooting up my arms. The stench of the room was overwhelming. The stone was damp with mold, sweat, and the lingering tang of blood. I could feel every droplet of moisture on the floor beneath me, every scratch on my skin and every thrum of my heartbeat. Every sound was magnified; the dripping of water from some cracked ceiling, the scrape of a boot against stone and the distant echo of voices outside and somewhere beneath it all, the pulse of fear I refused to let show. Shutting my eyes, I placed my hand on my stomach trying to shield the life growing inside of me. My baby didn’t deserve this. My chest tightened with guilt and fear, but my jaw stayed firm. If Damon wanted me broken, he would have to kill me first. I remembered the moments before my capture in fragments. The cold, rough hands yanked me from Mira’
