Chapter Ten: Old Wounds

Silas was completely caught off guard when he saw Alex standing before him. It was as if he had seen a ghost. Well, technically, he had almost killed Alex and left him for dead the last time they had met. Silas couldn't help but think to himself, "I guess that werewolf didn't die hard enough."

Alex grinned at Silas, noticing the surprise on his face. "Surprise, surprise," he said. "You didn't think you could just leave me for dead and get away with it, did you?"

“How…? How did you survive that?” Silas stammered

“Boy, you seem to forget your roots. You seemed to forget that I have one of the best healers in the entire world. But that’s not why I’m here. And that’s not the question you want to ask. It’s not as though you really care about my well-being. I’m hurt by the way” Alex smirked.
