Sixty Four

Sunday morning Kara awoke slowly when the sun shone through the drapes in her borrowed room. She had been working hard labor the whole week to get things running again; despite her men trying to lighten her load in their overprotective way like they had done since she had returned to her ranch after the accident. With all the help she had received, the stables were finished and the vegetable garden planted and ready for spring to bring it to life once more.

Matthew had worked with her the whole week, though the other faces changed regularly since the ranchers sorted things out on their own ranches and others came to help. Brad had even showed up after four in the afternoons. He had also spent the whole Saturday working with them, teasing that he did not need to go to the gym for that week, at least and that this was not what he had meant when he had suggested a holiday.

Kara could start moving the horses in this coming week and she was wondering how she could thank everyone. Sh
