Sixty Three

The moment they crossed the river she knew that something was not what she had thought.  There seemed to be a lot of traffic on the road to her ranch.  Kara urged her horse into a gallop, knowing that Matthew would keep up.  As they reached the yard, she saw people moving around and cleaning up.

Most of the debris had been cleared away and removed, and people she had seen in the midst of the fire battle were working on rebuilding her buildings.

Close by, several bales of feed lay, along with a few stacks of wood, pig feed, bricks and other hardware.  While she watched in stunned silence, a truck with another load of wood came up the drive.

Kara dismounted and walked slowly forward in a state of shock.  Silent tears were running down her cheeks.  The sun had barely risen and already there were dozens of people helping on her ranch.
