Noah’s POV:

“She’s incredible.” I whispered to myself as I watched her drive off.

A normal person would’ve left or feel hurt after being called crazy, but not me. Especially when it was by her.

She was right, you are crazy…. Crazy in love.

“Hey, Noah!”

I looked up to see Derek jogging toward me, that lazy grin on his face like he didn’t have a care in the world.

“Hey, man,” I said, clapping his hand and pulling him into the usual half-hug.

I was still trying to keep it cool, even though my head was pounding from what just happened with Stacey. I could barely hold myself together.

But of course, Derek had no idea.

“Did I just see you talking to the hot lecturer?” He said with a smirk, jerking his head toward the direction of Stacey’s car.

“Damn, man. If I had a shot with her, I wouldn’t waste time either.”

My blood ran cold.

The mere thought of Stacey’s name on anyone other than me just seems to piss me off.

“Watch it,” I snapped before I could stop myself.

Stacey’s POV:I don’t even remember driving home.I could still feel the shape of Noah’s lips on mine, the press of his body, the way he made everything else disappear, even the parts of myself I had tried so hard to keep protected. What were these feelings bubbling within? I hurried out of the car, shivering from the sharp wind slapping my face. Unsteady, my heels reverberated across the stone walkway. After fumbling with the keys, dropping them once, and muttering obscenities, I eventually succeeded in opening the door. At home. I hurriedly exited the vehicle and entered. I had no idea how I got home, but I did. I was having trouble breathing by the time I reached inside. You need a hot bath. Maybe that would calm your senses and wash away what just happened. With my hands gripping the metal meant for towels so tightly that I could feel the tremor in my arms, I leaned against the sink. I kept thinking about my reflection, which was staring back at me with red-rimmed, exhausted eye

Stacey’s POV: We drove for about 20 min before we were finally at Larry’s ice cream shop. I remembered it being Chloe’s and my favorite stop. We parked and I turned back to see Noah’s car behind us.Was really hoping he might have changed his mind. “come on, let’s go” Chloe excitedly stepped out going into the shopI walked out behind her as Noah approached me “So ice cream huh?” He glanced at me with a mischievous smile “Yeah, Chloe and I love the ice cream here.” We stepped in and found Chloe had already ordered and was in a private booth. We all sat there for a bit waiting for the ice cream to arrive. The shop was quiet as it was a bit empty. “Why is the shop empty?” I asked looking around.“oh yeah, it’s closing and relocating to a new branch” Chloe answered and I nearly choked in my ice cream “Really!? I didn’t know,” “Yeah! I helped them with the paperwork and everything” she added“So you’re like a really good lawyer huh?” Noah finally said “Well I wouldn’t say real

  • A Yearning Beyond Years   Chapter Eight

Stacey’s POV:If only the ground would open so I can just hop inside and it could swallow me whole. No one moved. No one blinked. The sound of Noah’s voice still was all anyone could hear. “Yes, I had sex with Stacey last night… and I’m her student.”My lungs weren’t working. My heart wasn’t beating. At least, it didn’t feel like it.It felt like I was watching myself from outside my own body, as if the real me had run screaming from the courtroom the second that video started playing.Cunning bitch!I had no idea how they got that video or even how Noah agreed to this. Are you serious? He only ever just wanted you for your body, or worse, this was just a whole plan by Agatha… That night… the sex… everything I felt something awful at the pit of my stomach as I moved back to my seat.Agatha looked calm. Smug, even.Liam leaned forward, whispering something to her, but I couldn’t make out the words. Whatever it was, she didn’t respond. She just sat there, arms folded like a queen ove

Stacey’s POV: “Are you ready?” Chloe asked as she prepared the papers. We were still in her car, the courthouse building looming over us.“I’m not sure, girl. I mean, I could lose my baby girl after this.” I have been paranoid all through. I really didn’t want to lose Tessa; she was the only thing that mattered to me now, and losing her to that witch and my so-called soon-to-be ex-husband will be the last thing I do. “You won’t lose her, my love; I’ve got you. Have I ever lost a case before?” Chloe tried reassuring me. “Yeah, a few,” I answered bluntly. “Jeez, girl, I was hoping for a no. That was savage.” She carried her briefcase, and we stepped out of the car. “You’re right. I’m sorry, it’s just a lot.”“It’s okay, I got you, Cece.” With a deep breath, we stepped into the court. To my side, I saw Liam and Agatha. She wrapped her arms around him, and I just knew she did that out of spite. We took our seats as the trial began. The judge entered, and everyone stood up on cue. My

  • A Yearning Beyond Years   Chapter five

Stacey's POV:My heart was threatening to burst out of my chest. I looked down at the black undies that I stupidly left there. I knew I forgot something. You didn’t think that the one thing you forgot was your undies??“I’m going to need you to take your seat, Mr. Baker,” I finally found the words, my shaking voice blatantly showing, and that seemed to amuse him.“I know you remember last night. I mean, it’s going to be hard for you to forget considering how much you loved my dick in your mouth.”I found myself swallowing whatever it was that was in my mouth, flashbacks appearing in my head.“That’s a good girl.” He grabbed his bag and headed to his seat, and that's when I realized the entire class's attention was on us, and most importantly, the box containing my undies was still on the desk.“Fuck!”Quick, do something.“Well, thank you so much for finding my scarf, Mr. Baker. I really appreciate it.” I forced a smile on my face while I quickly put the box with my undies in my bag.
