CARING FOR SARA

Mason is the youngest of two brothers, his older brother Stuart is about six years older than him, unlike Mason, he dedicated himself to the family business and making his own business, he is married to a beautiful blonde from high society, and they are expecting their second child, he lives out of the country, and he doesn't even know what happens to his brother.

After the accident he returns to his large mansion where only his housekeeper is waiting for him, who greets him kindly, serves him dinner, Gloria had been taking care of him since he was a child, she was almost like a mother to him, but the loneliness of his home was inevitable.

Mason goes up to his room, takes a shower, he needed it, he had been away from home for two days, his body was dirty and tired, but his head was even more so, he couldn't stop thinking about Sara, that woman who without saying a single word and whom he only saw for twenty minutes had stolen all his thoughts, that made him uneasy,  He felt a sense of guilt that wouldn't let him sleep.

The next day Mason goes to the hospital where Sara is hospitalized, it is a low category hospital, not like what he used to frequent, there they took all the people of the common city and well there she was, he asks at the reception for her and if there is any relative, but they inform him that so far no one has come,  so suddenly he decides to take care of Sara until someone from his family shows up.

He goes straight to room number six where she is hospitalized, there is a nurse next to her, she is taking her vital signs, she is an old woman, immediately Mason enters, and she gives him a smile when she sees how handsome this man is and does not wait to murmur.

"Are you related to the patient? we've been waiting for someone to come and find out for her," the nurse asks as she raises her glasses back to her nose.

"Yes, I'm his relative

“ How are they related? “ She writes on a board full of papers.

Mason couldn't tell him he was an immediate family member like a brother because he wouldn't have a way to prove it and he wouldn't know his medical history, so he made an impromptu decision.

"I'm her boyfriend. How's she?

“Well, for her boyfriend he is almost not young, she is in a coma, her organs are fine, but there is something in her head that does not want to work, the doctors will come later and explain, is there another relative?

"Not for now, they're out of town.

“Do you know who was at fault for the accident?” Ask suspiciously

"No, I don't know, but I'll take care of everything now, don't worry.

“Hmm, ok boy you inspire me with confidence, anyway no one has come to ask about her, and the police did not give any report of any special care, so you give me confidence, there I leave you with her, take care of her, we will go to give her a momentary round.

“Thank you nurse” at that moment Mason understood that a web of lies was beginning to be created around what had happened with Sara, as he was going to explain later to his family that he had pretended to be her boyfriend to be able to take care of her when he had been her victimizer, at that moment he was begging for someone of his loved ones to appear quickly,  The more time passed, the more certain it would be to sustain the lies, and what he wanted most was for her to open her eyes.

He approaches her, he looks at her more closely, now she is intubated and her face is covered by wires so that she can breathe, it is more difficult for him to decipher the beauty of this woman, but he sees her arms full of bruises from the blows of the accident and he feels himself dying, he can see over the sheet that she is a woman of small proportions,  She is not voluptuous like the women around him, he looks at her hair and sees that she is a natural woman, who does not wear dyes or false eyelashes, she is so simple, but at the same time so beautiful.

He touches her hand and notices that it is very soft, Sara has her nails short and well groomed, with this he could assume that she was a nurse. I didn't know anything about her, I didn't even know if that was her real name, she could have worn a borrowed uniform, but it didn't matter, that's what Sara Meyers would always call her.

Mason managed to be in charge of Sara's medical expenses, but he regretted that she was not in a better hospital, only the nurses went there from time to time, hours passed, and no doctor came to tell him the real state of the woman, this made him desperate.

Several hours had passed and Mason had only sat in the passenger chair listening to the shrill beep of the machines that kept Sara alive, his cell phone had been his only companion, he tried to talk to his best friends, but they had casually blocked him, leaving him with a bad taste, proving that they were only his friends in good situations,  now that he needed them they had turned their backs on him, this frustrated Mason and even more so knowing that he was not the one who had run over Sara.

A few days ago, Mason was that striking man and perfect for any friend and of course for any woman, he was heir to a strong fortune that had been left to him by his grandmother Mrs. Aurora Clark.

As night falls, a doctor enters the room where Sara is, Mason is fast asleep in the escort chair, the doctor clears his throat in order to wake him up, Mason opens his eyes, a little confused, almost forgetting where he was.

"Sir, how are you? I'm Dr. Phillips, well I've come to tell you about Sara, the nurse told me that you're the boyfriend.

"Yes, sir, I'm very glad Mason Clark.

“Well, Sara's situation is not the best, she suffered several blows to the body when she was run over, but the biggest blow she received was to the head, affecting her senses, there is a possibility that if she wakes up, she will not remember anything.

“I don't understand doctor, how serious is Sara?

“Unfortunately yes young man, we do not know when he will wake up, some regions of his brain where memories are preserved were damaged by the impact, he has not responded to stimuli, it is important now that you are here, try to talk to her, pretend that she listens to you, this facilitates a possible return to reality, for now it is all Mr. Clark I am sorry to give you this news.

She may wake up in a few hours, or in years, it all depends on the response to the stimuli.

The following days Mason began to be more dedicated to Sara, without knowing her and with some embarrassment he began to touch her fragile hands, daily he caressed her face, spoke to her, and asked her forgiveness for what had happened, and promised her that he would find her family.

He brought her gifts that he found on the way, and he put them around her, he had decided that her recovery should be as soon as possible, she deserved to be well and return to her family.

As every day he continued in the routine of taking care of Sara as he had promised, it had already been about ten days in which she was in a coma, when he entered room number six he realized that there were doctors around Sara and thought that something serious was happening to her, but it was such a surprise and happiness to see how they were removing the tubes she had put in place to breathe.

"Doctor, good morning, what's going on?"  Mason asks the doctor in charge

“Mr. Clark good morning, we have excellent news for you, your girlfriend Sara is responding to stimuli, she is already breathing alone, and she has begun to wake up, she is already starting to move her hands and her eyes, it is predicted that at any moment she can react totally, it is important that you are here for that moment”.

“It gives me great news doctor! of course I will be here, Mason's eyes were filled with happiness, the encouragement he had had with Sara had worked for good.

But there was something that totally intrigued him, her family showed up to ask about her, and if she woke up it was going to be very difficult to explain everything that was going on, but he had promised to take care of her.
