Chapter Eighteen

It took Andy by surprise. He didn't understand what just happened, he held her firmly in his hands then carried her into one of the guest rooms downstairs, not having the strength to take her upstairs.

After keeping her on the bed, he took the duvet and covered her, he used the back of his palm to check her temperature and withdrew his hand immediately because her skin was burning.

Andy stood up and rushed into his room to bring the thermometer. As he walked down the stairs, he felt guilt wash over him, he couldn't believe she's suffering even though she's in his house.

To him, he failed to keep his word to her, he neglected her, and now she looks so pale and has lost a lot of weight compared to when she wasn't in his house.

He raised her arm and placed the Mercury thermometer in her armpit and brought it out to see the result and almost gasped in shock, it was thirty-nine degrees. He didn't know the best thing to do, so he took his phone and dialed the doctor's number.

“Hello, I need
