Stephanie continued. “ I told her I will do anything for the antidote, she gave me a contract to sign, and the contract states that if I ever reveal what she is about to tell me to anyone that all my father’s assets will belong toher including our house. I signed the contract. I know you would blame me for signing the contract first before hearing what she had to say, but even if she told me her request first I would have still sign the contract. My father was dying and I couldn’t just stand by and do nothing.”.

“Margret said that Jane and Nathan are getting married in a few weeks and before they gets their marriage certificate, Nathan has to sleep with Jane first to confirm if she is a virgin, and since Jane is not she wants me to sleep with Nathan instead.”

“The plan was for me to go to the hotel with Jane on that day and hid in one of the hotel rooms before Nathan gets to the hotel. Then Jane will drug Nathan and once the drug kicks in, i will come out and have sex with Nathan instead of Jane.”. Stephanie explained calmly.

Hearing this Elsie stood up. ready to go and confront Margret, “ how can Margret use such a despicable means to achieve her aim?”

Stephanie seeing Elsie impulsive behavior, furrowed her brow in concern, “Elsie, don’t be impulsive, sit down , because you are someone I trust and rely on, that’s why I told you about this, I don’t want to keep this from you.”

“But I hope you won’t act impulsive, I hope you can keep this a secret for me”.

Stephanie knows Elsie is concerned about her, but she doesn’t want her to be caught up in her family drama.

“But is that not deceiving Nathan, and the whole Robinson family?” Elsie asked.

Stephanie pursed her lips, remaining silent but she had to admit that what Elsie said is the truth, but what could she do? She can’t go to Nathan and tell him everything, After all she was involved , nor did she want Elsie to do so, whether the truth will come out someday that’s for fate to decide.

“Do you think the truth can be hidden forever?” Elsie asked. “Margret and her daughter need to pay for all their evil deeds “.

Stephanie knows that the truth cannot be hidden forever but she doesn’t want to be the one to reveal the truth. “ if they don’t tell Nathan and I don’t. How will Nathan finds out, the hotel surveillance footage was tampered so he wouldn’t find anything from that end”.

Stephanie dark eyes fixed intently on Elsie, “ or are you planning to tell Nathan?”

Stephanie sighed. Seeing Elsie remain silent she added. “ Elsie, I didn’t tell you this for you to go and tell Nathan or confront Margret”.

“Confronting them now will not change anything”. Stephanie said.

Elsie looked at Stephanie’s calm demeanor, a hit of admiration flash in her eyes. despite everything that has happened, Stephanie remained calm and collected, her expression unchanged. If it were to be other women in this situation, they would have cried their eyes out and Jane is not an exception but Stephanie is different.

Elsie nodded, “got it”.

“But how can a man like Nathan not know that he was drugged?”

“You underestimate Margret!” Stephanie replied

The substance she gave her daughter to put in Nathan’s drink was colorless and tasteless and can’t be detected by anyone”.

“ your uncle’s wife is so ruthless, using such despicable tactics to make her daughter marry Nathan”. Elsie said.

“Okay! Enough of Margret matter, Elsie, I really want to thank you for everything.

Elsie grinned at the woman and replied “there is no need for thanks between us, you’re worth it, you are the light in my life and you are like a sister to me, sisters should always support each other.”

“What’s your next step?” Elsie asked seriously looking at Stephanie.

“I don’t know for now, I will let you know no once I decide on what to do.”

“Okay, take your time and follow your heart, just know that Any decision you make I will always support you .”

“How did your dad react when you told him what Margret made you do?”

“I didn’t tell him,” Stephanie replied honestly .

“Why?”

“I don’t want him live with self blame for all his life.” Stephanie knows that once his father finds out about this that he will start blaming himself for everything, that’s why she didn’t tell him.

“So are you planning of keeping this pregnancy away from him? “Elsie asked. She doesn’t like the fact that Stephanie is keeping this kind of thing away from her father,she didn’t want her to make any mistakes.

“That’s the problem here, I don’t even know how to tell him, pregnancy can’t be hidden for ever and sooner or later he will definitely finds out, and I have to tell him before he finds out on his own.”

“Okay enough of the long talk, get dress, I’m taking you to the hospital for checkup,” Elsie said.

“No way, I’m not going to the hospital!”

“Why not?”

“ I don’t want anyone to find out about this pregnancy, and if I go to the hospital how can we guarantee that the news will not leak out.”

“Those paparazzi are going too far lately, I don’t want to trend on Weibo by tomorrow.”

Hearing her explanation, Elsie had to admit that what she said is the truth. And with that the matter of going to the hospital was closed..
