“I want to leave the country,” Stephanie said

Elsie was taking aback, “leave the country? Why do you suddenly want to leave the country? Is it because of your father?” Elsie asked looking at the woman.

“Steph, you haven’t told him , how will you know if he will ask you to get rid of the baby, I was just speculating earlier,” Elsie added.

Seeing Elsie misunderstands her, Stephanie explained, “Elsie, is not about my father, I’m leaving the country because I don’t want anyone else to find out about this pregnancy especially Margret and her daughter Jane.”

Elsie stared at her without saying anything.

“I know what you are thinking about , don’t worry I will come back once the baby is born. My father is still here , I can’t stay abroad forever,” Stephanie added.

Even though, Elsie was reluctant to let her go but she knows that once Stephanie made up her mind on something , no one could make her change her mind .

With that in mind she decided against persuading her not to leave.

“There is one more thing,” Stephanie continued. “I want to go to Finland heart research study center to study more,” Stephanie added.

Looking at Stephanie who has already made up her mind, Elsie was slightly stunned.

Finland heart research center is the world top heart surgery research center, that has already created artificial heart.

Thinking of this Elsie raise an eyebrow “how did you…”

Stephanie answered nonchalantly, there was a spot available so I applied for it, last week I received their invitation email . Actually I want to use this opportunity to study and grow without worrying.”

Elsie pursed her lips, and forced a stiff smile on her reluctant face . “Okay! That’s a rare opportunity! When do you plan to leave?”

“In two days time, I want to discuss it with my father first!”

“I will respect your wishes, but before you go…” a glint flash in her eyes. “ you have to treat me to a meal, it has been long we go on a girls outing , what do you think? There is a new club at…”

“I agreed,” Stephanie interrupted her.

Elsie had a lot to say but seeing Stephanie agreed so easily, she couldn’t bring herself to say more.

“Tonight on me, and I promise you will love it.”

Hearing this, Stephanie furrowed her brow, “you know I can’t drink alcohol in my condition.”

Elsie winked at her, don’t worry you just have to accompany me to drink.

After that they chatted for a while, before Stephanie stood up to leave.

“Am I picking you up, or are we meeting at the club?” Elsie demanded.

Stephanie was momentarily speechless, she didn’t want to go to the club, but seeing Elsie’s hopeful expression, she couldn’t bear to refuse her.

It’s just for today, it won’t affect the baby, she assured herself.

After a moment of silence, she said slowly, “fine pick me up by 7:00 pm

Upon hearing Stephanie’s word, Elsie’s face lit up with a happy smile. “See you by seven then.

When Stephanie got home, she decided to prepare dinner for her father. she made a simple dinner and put it in the microwave to keep it warm, before preparing to go out with Elsie .

She went upstairs and had her shower, opened her wardrobe and casually picked out a red dress and put it on. She let her hair fall, applied a red lipstick, put on her earrings and wristwatch. She looked at her self in the mirror and beamed, Thank goodness my belly is not showing yet .

She picked up her purse and phone and realized that Elsie had sent her a text, telling her that she is on her way, she replied with “I’m done.” Before checking herself in the mirror again .

She put on a flat shoe and headed downstairs.

She couldn’t wear heels since she is pregnant.

She walked out of the house, to see Elsie stepping out of her car . She had just arrived.

Elsie was dressed to kill in a short red gown, her hair in a ponytail.

Seeing that both of them were wearing red dresses, Stephanie asked, “how did you know I will be putting on a red gown ?”

“Sister’s intuition!”Elsie answered and the both laughed.

Elsie drove them to one of the biggest and widely known club in the capital.

She stopped the car at the entrance of the building and a security guard approached slowly and help Elsie open the car door. “Ms. Foster, let me help you park your car .”

“Mm,” Elsie responded lightly, she turned to the woman beside her , “ we are here, let’s go in.”

They both came down and walked inside, they showed their ID cards to the bouncer and he let them in .

It wasn’t too late in the night and the club was just starting to get busy, as they entered, more people were gradually making their way inside.

Some guys sat in a nearby booth with one or two girls giving them lab dance, with little or no clothing.

They walked up the stairs to a VIP lounge, there were tables around with people sitting and drinking. Just then the club manager came to greet them.

“Welcome Ms. Foster, we have prepared a private booth for you, please follow me.”

Elsie is the only daughter of the Foster family, and the Foster family owns this club, so it’s not surprising that the club manager came in person to greet them.

The manager led them into a private booth.

“Bring me a bottle of your finest wine, and bring her juice,” Elsie ordered.

The manager nodded. “Yes ! I will arrange it right away.”

Soon their drinks arrived,

Elsie immediately picked up her glass, poured herself a drink “Steph, let’s have a toast.”

Stephanie picked up her own glass, raised it up and they clicked them together.

Elsie downed her drink in one go, she was visibly excited , being in a place like this naturally lifted her spirits.

After a few more drinks, Elsie looked at Stephanie. “Steph, let’s go and dance.”

Stephanie shook her head. “Nope! Elsie you know I can’t…”

Elsie gave her a playful smile, “the only thing I know. Is that dancing a little won’t hurt the baby.” With that she dragged Stephanie to the stage .

Some hours later, they went home, when Stephanie got home, her father was already asleep, she decided to talk to him the following morning.
